Huge apartment, impeccable and very well equipped. One drawback: there aren't any doors to the bedrooms (just curtains) so no privacy at all!

May 15 2013With the apartment's ample size and such an open layout, we always like to emphasize that the space is perfect for families and groups of good friends.
We were delighted with our stay, the accommodation is very large and comfortable, ideal for 8 people. A few steps away from a supermarket, a 5 min walk to the subway that takes you to manhattan in 30 min!

Nice and helpful lady, extremely spacious accommodation. A bit far from the subway and from the city tourist sites. Market and shops are convenient.

The location in South Harlem is perfect for a vacation that combines good value and good transport connection to Manhattan (subway and sightseeing buses). The accommodation is highly recommended as it modern, comfortable and very tastefully appointed and has all the comfort you can imagine for a well-deserved vacation. The supermarket is truly round the corner. Thanks to the quiet location and the security, we felt very safe. The super was not only very friendly, he was a real asset for the stay.
Nov 12 2012The apartment, which unfortunately has no room doors, is perfectly suitable for up to 8 people since it is very spacious.
We had travelled from Australia for a family wedding. 8 family members, all adults (23 to 80)were accommodated. It suited our arrangements completely. In the mornings we could all confirm our various sightseeing destinations over breakfast. Then at night either over dinner or late coffee talk about our day.

Harlem is very nice and there are many very good restaurants.
The accommodation was very large and spacious. Everything necessary was provided, e.g. a microwave, and it was clean.

The accommodation owner is very kind and speaks Italian. The accommodation is very close to one of the subway stations that takes you directly downtown. There is a supermarket round the corner that is also open on Sundays, very convenient.
May 14 2012The apartment is big and well equipped, it is very good value for money, the owners are super friendly but also discreet, the weak point is the location, a little far from the most interesting neighborhoods all south of Central Park, the advantage of this location being off center and away from the tourist attractions is that you get immersed in the real New York life.
Apr 23 2012The vacation rental being a bit off-center was no problem. The 2 subway stations really close by take you to the heart of Manhattan in less than 15 minutes. The owner's helpfulness and consideration made our stay very pleasant. The accommodation is very comfortable and very nice to live in. The size of the living room allowed each of us to relax after long days walking and discovering the city. Thank you for organizing the transfer from and to the airport.
Mar 12 2012Nice welcome and friendly owner; the accommodation is nice and very well equipped; the only downside is that the dividing walls are not full height and there are no doors to the rooms so it lacks privacy in order to isolate yourself.
Jan 18 2012Very big apartment with washing machine. Quiet as it is not located on a main road. Subway close by. Very good price for NY. A small PC would just do the trick to send emails more easily than with phones as the wifi connection is somewhat erratic.

Further to this review, the owner explained that there have not been any issues with the wireless in a while, but that it has gone out on occasion in the past. This typically just takes restarting the router to get it working again. However, he is going to keep an eye on it and if any further issues persist, will not fail to contact the internet service provider.

Oct 24 2011It was perfect, large, well equipped. As the owners were away we were welcomed by a friend of theirs and she gave us good pieces of advice. The accommodation is quite a distance from the center but in the end, with the subway, it is in a convenient location. If we can return to NYC we'll rent it again in a heartbeat.

Very nice loft in a minimalist style (no fancy decoration). Space was more than sufficient (we were 4). It was good to come back to a quiet spot in the evening, away from the crowd. Owners very discreet and welcoming. Thanks to them.

We had an excellent stay in this apartment - clean, functional, large and comfortable. The nearest supermarket is round the corner and there is a supermarket open 24/7 4 blocks away. The subway is a 5-minute walk and takes you to the heart of Manhattan in 10 minutes.
Jun 18 2011For the French, the owner speaks the language very well and is extremely available. If we ever go back to NY, we will rent the same apartment again.
We had such a great time in New York, it was the first time we came to the City and it was fabulous, also because of the appartment! It is HUGE! We nearly had to buy rollerskates to go from one side to another! :)
Jun 06 2011The only "inconvenient" is that the walls are cut before the ceiling, but as we knew it, we were prepared to it, so no problem.
There are 2 nice bathrooms, the beds are good (the pillows were too soft for me, but there are many so I could do like I wanted). The kitchen is nice too. The owners are lovely and very helpful, and the neigbourhood is very peaceful, full of life and "real". We never felt insecure, even when coming home very late...
The metrostation is only a few minutes walking away. I would really recommend this place for people staying for more than a few days (we stayed one week, but if you have to take the metro each time and you only stay like 4-5 days, it could be long but not impossible, though!).
We really enjoyed and loved it!

Apr 24 2011I've really had good time in this apartment. Situated in east Harlem the loft is big and comfortable. The wifi connection is very helpful and all the rooms were clean. The apartment contains two bathrooms and two walk in closet, very useful.
Feb 17 2011Talking about the neighborhood, even if everybody keep asking us if Harlem was dangerous I have to say that it was a very quiet and colorful zone. I have never feel myself in danger, of course the location is far from mid and downtown, but I learn to call Harlem my own and I feel conformable in that part of the city as in the others.
The apartment we rented is very large, pleasant and relaxing, equipped with all needed items including washer and dryer, very quiet, the small park next to the vacation rental is pleasant and is necessary for smokers, supermarket and subway stop are very close, the owner was extremely available (even to find a taxi from and to the airport), the price convenient; my friends and I only found one negative detail: we would have preferred less soft beds and pillows. In any case we had a good time thank you.

After some proposals we chose this accommodation in Harlem. The apartment was perfect for 8 people with a lot of space, well equipped and with all new appliances. The beds are comfortable, which is very important after spending the day walking in New York.

Apr 22 2010The flat was perfect for 8 persons with lot of space, natural light and very well equipped. All the appliances are new. Beds are comfortable, which is a very good point after a day walking in New York.
Location near the subway (116 or 125 Street) and very close to supermarkets is an important part of the benefits of this flat.
Also for us, the most important the owner is a perfect host. And was very helpful.
