The Apollo Theater (0.7mi/1.1km) is an excellent venue to see some of the greatest comedians and bands performing today. Visit the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture (0.5mi/750m) to glimpse into the future and complexities of this culture in the United States. The Host was above excellent and very friendly! She even mailed a shirt that I left in the washer/dryer! The studio was great! Loved the kitchen because it was actually functional with counter-space. The bathroom was remodeled and spacious for a NYC studio. |

We stayed for 1 week late August / early September 2011 in this Harlem vacation rental. We were really happy. The accommodation is very nice, very well equipped (washing machine, dishwasher etc...) and is comfortable. It would be even better to have a sofa bed, as the double bed is made of two single beds close together. |

The apartment is ideally located with the subway only a few steps away and a street with a Duane Reade and a bank and various stores a few steps away in the other direction. 137th street is safe and quiet and the apartment is wonderful. It is very clean and has all the amenities necessary, incl. a washer/dryer, a large fridge and stove and all kitchen appliances you need. |
