Newly renovated, attractive one-bedroom duplex in Harlem
|
This is a spacious and newly renovated one-bedroom duplex apartment located on St. Nicholas Avenue in Harlem. All six front windows face St. Nicholas Park and City College. Harlem has recently experienced a second renaissance and has become a popular destination. The apartment is in walking distance to the historic districts of Hamilton Heights (Sugar Hill), Strivers Row, the Studio Museum, Schomberg Center, Apollo Theater, Bill Clinton's office, many great jazz clubs and restaurants.
There are about 860 square feet of living space on two floors; living room and kitchen on the lower floor, and office, bedroom, and bathroom on the upper level. You'll find a TV, VCR, stereo; plenty of books, plants, a large glass-top coffee table, and original art work in the living room. A small table with four chairs sits in front of the windows. The apartment is very bright and flooded with sunshine in the afternoons. The kitchen has all amenities like dishwasher, microwave, coffeemaker, toaster and many cooking utensils.
A spiral stair case takes you upstairs to the office about 200 square feet, where you find a computer with internet access and a fax machine. In the bedroom you find a queen size bed, a desk and a comfortable chair for reading and relaxing. Both living room and bedroom have an exposed brick wall and three windows each. The bathroom is standard with a shower and tub. Sheets and towels are provided. Coin operated washing machines and dryers are in the basement. There is a queen size aero bed available if needed.
The apartment is two blocks away from the 135 Street subway stop. It takes 12 minutes to get to Columbus Circle and 20 minutes to West 4 Street. The M 3 bus stops directly in front of the building and travels along Central Park, Fifth Avenue, and past all the major museums down to the East Village. In the opposite direction you can take it to the Cloisters Museum. The next supermarket is two blocks away. Restaurants, bars, the Hue Man book store, churches to hear fabulous Gospel, and great jazz clubs are all nearby.
