Neighborhood: This apartment is situated in a very popular area, the Marais. It is one of a number of Parisian neighborhoods that has preserved almost all of its pre-revolutionary architecture. It is located very close to Chatelet-Les Halles, to the Louvre, and to the Seine. Close by is the Georges Pompidou Cultural Center, also known as Beaubourg. This lively area abounds with restaurants, cafes, and diverse shops, all kinds of markets (such as the famous Rue Montorgueil) and supermarkets. Premises: This 17m² (approx. 180 sq. ft.) studio apartment is located on the sixth and last floor of a 1750s building. The main entrance gate is protected by a coded security system and opens to a flight of steps leading to a second door, protected by an intercom. The apartment has a western exposure. The 7m² (approx. 75 sq. ft.) living room is decorated in a contemporary style and furnished with a double-size sofa bed, a desk with a chair, a cable TV with a DVD player, a stereo, shelves and a built-in closet. This room has a double-glazed window overlooking the street and a wood floor. An Internet connection is also available. The separate kitchen is equipped with two vitro ceramic burners, a small refrigerator with a freezer compartment, a combo microwave/grill oven, a washing machine, a coffee maker and a toaster. There is also a skylight. The tiled bathroom has a shower stall, a washbasin and a toilet. The closest metro stations are Etienne Marcel (line 3 and 4) and les Halles (lines 1, 4, 11, 14; RER A & B & D). Heat and hot water are electric and are individually metered.
