Spacious one-bedroom apartment near Place Jussieu

This furnished apartment is located in the Latin quarter between rue Buffon and rue Poliveau in Paris. Cafes, cinemas, jazz clubs and student bookshops fill this ancient riverside quarter between the Seine and the Luxembourg Gardens; famous Universities abound here, among them the prestigious La Sorbonne. There is also the Jardin des Plantes, a well-known botanical garden, the Museum National d'Histoire Naturelle and the popular Rue Mouffetard, the oldest open-air market in Paris.
Premises:
This 53mē (approx. 570 sq. ft.) apartment is located on the first floor of a 19th century walk-up building. The entrance gate, protected by a coded security system and an intercom, leads to the staircase.
The apartment entrance opens into a spacious hall leading to the living room on the left and the narrow kitchen straight ahead. On the right is a long corridor with the toilettes and the bathroom and straight ahead is the bedroom. There are hard wooden floors throughout except in the kitchen and in the bathroom, which are tiled. The apartment faces the street and the courtyard.
The 14mē (approx. 150 sq. ft.) living room has two double-glazed windows with exterior shutters overlooking the street (with a southwestern exposure). It has wall-to-wall carpeting and is furnished with a sofa, a coffee table, a fireplace, an armchair and a chair. It is equipped with a wireless phone, a cable TV and a DVD player.
A wireless Internet connection is available.
The small kitchen is equipped with two vitro-ceramic burners, a combo microwave/grill oven and a refrigerator. It has a double glazed-window.
The 14mē (approx. 150 sq. ft.) bedroom is furnished with a double-size bed, a chest of drawers, a decorative fireplace and two chairs. The window ovelooks the street with a southern exposure.
The long corridor is furnished with a folding table, two chairs, an armchair and a lamp.
The bathroom has a double-glazed window overlooking the courtyard. It contains a bathtub with a showerhead, and a washbasin with a mirror. There is also a closet in the small room linking to the bathroom.
The toilette is separate. There is also a washing machine in this room.
Heat and hot water use electricity.
The nearest metro stations are Jussieu (line 7 and 10) and Censier-Daubenton (line 7). There is also a bus stop (line 67 - Hotel de Ville- Stade Charlety) nearby.
