A studio next to « Notre Dame »
|
Neighborhood:
The furnished apartment is located just behind « Notre Dame ». The home of French kings until the 14th century, the island still maintains its medieval air. An iron bridge leads to the Ile Saint Louis. This smaller and quieter island of the two river islands has remained as it was in the 17th century, and the tree-lined quays are the most enchanting aspect- intimate and picturesque. There are numerous sights in this area, such as the Saint Chapelle and others. There are all sorts of essential shops and services in the neighborhood, as well.
Premises:
This 23m˛ (approx 250sqft) studio is located on the 7th and top floor of a building from the 19th century with an elevator. The main entrance gate is protected by a digicode and opens into a hall, with an intercom and a concierge, which leads into a second hall with stairs and elevator.
The layout is as follows: main entry leads to the bathroom on the right followed by a hallway to the living room on the right side. Back to the hallway- the kitchen is on the left, followed by a tiny bedroom/study area. The apartment is under the roof and thus the ceiling is 1.40m on the sides and 2.50m in the center.
The 16m2 (approx 170 sqft) living room has a parquet floor and a window with a view on the courtyard. It is furnished with a sofa, an armchair and a coffee table. It is also equipped with a stereo and a TV. The tiny bedroom/study area is furnished with a double size bed (1.20m width), a desk and a chair. In the entrance, there are built-in closets and a window. There is another small window in the bedroom/study area.
The open kitchen is equipped with two electric burners, a small fridge, a freezer, a microwave, an oven, a coffee maker, a kettle, a washing machine and a stainless steel sink. There is a small window with a view of Notre Dame Cathedral.
The tiled bathroom has a shower cabin protected by a plastic curtain, a mirrored medicine cabinet, a sink and a chemical toilet. It also has a small ceiling window above the shower.
Internet access is available in the apartment.
Heat and hot water are electric and individual.
For convenient travel around Paris, the nearest metro station is « Cite » (Line 4).
