This apartment is situated between Place des Abbesses and rue Lepic. One of the most artsy districts of Paris known for its wine and songs, poets and painters, and for its major symbol, the Sacred Heart Basilica, the Monmartre's 130m (approx. 425 ft.) high esplanade offers a splendid view of Paris. Within a few metro stops are the Opera, the Champs Elysées, and the Louvre Museum. There are also many vegetables and fruit markets, diverse restaurants and cafes, and diverse convenience shops.
Premises:
Set on the quiet courtyard side on the first floor of a 19th century walk-up building, this gorgeous 100m² (approx. 1,075 sq. ft.) two-bedroom apartment is south and north exposed. It has painted ceiling beams and walls, a parquet floor, and 2.37m high ceilings. The street entrance is protected by an intercom and leads to a double courtyard. From the second courtyard, a flight of stairs leads to the first entrance door (equipped with an intercom) and opens to a staircase leading to the apartment.
Layout:
The entrance door opens into a hall, which leads to the second bedroom on the left side and the bathroom on the right side; straight ahead are the living room and the open kitchen. The master bedroom is accessible through the living room by a flight of stairs. Next to this bedroom, there is a separate toilet.
The roomy 53m² (approx. 570 sq. ft.) living room has a pleasant décor and is furnished with two caramel leather sofas, a similar armchair, and a cantilever armchair placed around a rectangular coffee table, all set on a fine area rug. There is a square countryside dining table and six matching armchairs as well as bookcases, an antique cabinet, a console, a wall mirror and lamps. There is also a cable TV with international channels, a VCR, a stereo and a telephone; two French windows and two small windows screened by rolling blinds allow for much streaming light.
The American kitchen has an original hardwood counter and two designer stools. There are two gas and two electric burners, a traditional electric oven, a combo refrigerator/freezer, a dishwasher, and all the necessary utensils in the shelves, cupboards, and drawers.
Raised three steps, the 25m² (approx. 265 sq. ft.) bedroom is wall-to-wall rattan carpeted. It is furnished with a double size bed with night tables and lamps just beside a French window decorated with curtains; there are also recessed closets and shelves. Embedded in the floor is a bathtub and close to the opposite window, screened by curtains, there is an antique chest of drawers and a cabinet with two white ceramic washbasins below a mirror.
The 8m² second bedroom has a bay window overlooking a courtyard and is furnished with a single-size bed, a wardrobe and some built-in shelves.
The first restroom is placed just beside the bedroom.
The hall bathroom has a tiled shower cabin, a washbasin and a separate toilet.
The closest metro stations are Abbesses (line 12) and Pigalle (lines 2 and 12).
