Two-bedroom apartment in Madeleine area
|
BE AWARE THAT THE BUILDING IS CURRENTLY UNDER RENOVATION
Neighborhood:
This furnished apartment is located between the famous Place Vendôme and the Madeleine, near the Place de la Concorde, in the heart of the Tuileries area. The Jardin des Tuileries is bound by the expanse of the Place de la Concorde at one end and the Louvre at the other. This was a place for kings and palaces. The unique Place Vendome is the best example of 18th century elegance in the city. The area is crossed by two of Paris' most magnificent shopping streets (both parallel to the Jardin des Tuileries). They are the Rue de Rivoli and, to the north, Rue du Faubourg St. Honore, which is known for its haute couture shops and its luxurious restaurants. Just in front of the Palais de L'Elysée, where the French president of the republic lives, and the United States Embassy, this accommodation is in one of the safest areas in Paris. There is a large diversity of shops and services in the neighborhood.
Premises:
This 55m² (approx. 590 sq. ft.) two-bedroom apartment is located on the second floor of a 17th century walk-up building. The entrance gate, protected by a coded security system, opens into a corridor leading to the staircase.
The apartment entrance opens into a corridor linking the bathroom, the two bedrooms, the kitchen and the living room. The apartment has double glass windows.
The 17m² (approx. 180 sq. ft.) living room has two windows with southern exposure overlooking the street. It is furnished with two double-size sofas, a dining table with chairs, a chest of drawers, a wall-mounted flat screen TV, a DVD player, and built-in bookshelves with a stereo. A computer can be installed if requested.
The first 7m² (approx. 75 sq. ft.) bedroom has a window with northern exposure overlooking a courtyard. It is furnished with a double-size bed, two bedside tables, a chest of drawers and a phone.
The second 10m² (approx. 105 sq. ft.) bedroom has two windows with northern exposure overlooking a courtyard. It is furnished with a double-size bed, two bedside tables, a chest of drawers, a large closet and a phone.
The separate kitchen has a window and is equipped with four electric plates, an oven, a microwave, a refrigerator, an electric grill, a toaster, a kettle, and a coffee maker. There is also a dishwasher and a washing machine.
The separate bathroom has a window overlooking a courtyard. It has a shower with a showerhead, a washbasin, a bidet and a toilette.
The entire apartment is air conditioned.
Heat and hot water are both electric.
For convenient travel around Paris, the nearest metro stations are Madeleine (lines 8, 12, 14) and Concorde (lines 1, 8, 12).
