Neighborhood: This furnished apartment is situated between Place Voltaire and the famous Père Lachaise Cemetery, where celebrities such as Chopin, Moliere, Oscar Wilde, and Jim Morrison are buried. In just 15 minutes walking distance is the Place de la Bastille with the Opera de la Bastille, considered one of the best opera houses in the world. In the immediate vicinity of this accommodation are numerous shops, gorgeous restaurants and cafes, supermarkets, and markets such as the well-known Parisian market Rue Richard Lenoir (Thursday and Sunday mornings). In this neighborhood there is shopping of all sorts, from fruit and vegetables to books and clothing. Premises: This 53m² (approx. 570 sq. ft.) two-bedroom apartment is located on the second floor (third in the USA) of a 1979 building with an elevator. The main entrance gate is protected by a coded security system and it opens into a hall leading to another door with an intercom. The apartment has northern exposure and it overlooks a courtyard. The apartment entrance opens into the bathroom and the first bedroom. On the left are the living room, the kitchen and the second bedroom. The 12m² (approx. 125 sq. ft.) living area has a sliding, double-glazed French door with rolling shutters. It is furnished with a double-size sofa bed, a coffee table and a chest of drawers with a small cable TV and a DVD player. The 10m² (approx. 105 sq. ft.) first bedroom has a parquet floor and a French door that overlooks a courtyard. It is furnished with a double-size bed, a desk, a chest of drawers and shelves. It is also equipped with a stereo. The 7m² (approx. 75 sq. ft.) bedroom is separated from the living room by two Japanese-style sliding doors. It is furnished with a double-size bed, shelves, a stereo and built-in closets. It also has a sliding French door. The open kitchen is separated from the living room by a bar (with two stools) and is equipped with two electric burners, a microwave oven, a small refrigerator and a coffee maker. There is also a folding dining table with chairs and a window. The tiled bathroom is accessible from the entrance hall and is equipped with a washbasin, a bathtub with a showerhead and a washing machine. The separate toilet is behind the entrance door and also has a built-in closet. Heat and hot water are electric and individually metered. For convenient travel around Paris, the nearest metro station is Père Lachaise (lines 2 and 3).
