This furnished studio apartment is in fair walking distance to the Arc de Triomphe, the Champs Elysées Avenue, and to one of the prettiest parks in Paris, the Park de Monceau, which is surrounded by alluring gates and features winning gardens and paths, sculptures of renowned personalities, and small pools. This little street is also a short distance from two of the most well-known local open-air markets in Paris - rue Poncelet, and rue de Levis with number of colorful and quality fruit and vegetable stallholders, as well as fashion shops, nice restaurants and cafes. The famous French poet Verlaine lived in this district from 1851 to 1865 at 10 rue Nollet; the peaceful little house at 28 rue Lemercier was the residence of the famous composer Jacques Brel.
Premises:
This 14m² (approx. 150 sq. ft.) studio apartment is located on the sixth and top floor of an 1890s walk-up building. The main entrance gate is protected by a concierge and opens into a Haussmannien style hall. From there, a service door opens into a corridor leading to the narrow staircase.
The entrance door opens directly into the 7m² (approx 75 sq ft) main room. It is furnished with a double-size sofa bed, a folding dining table, a small TV, a built-in desk with a stool surrounded by two built-in closets. The main room has a double-glazed window that overlooks a courtyard with a southeastern exposure. It has a contemporary style decor with mirrored walls.
The open kitchen is equipped with two electric burners topped by a cooker hood, a microwave oven, a washing machine, a coffee maker, a toaster and an electric kettle.
The bathroom is accessible from the cooking area by a sliding door. It has a shower, a small washbasin with a mirror and an electric toilette.
Note: The toilet is electric. Due to the European plumbing system in the building, the water closet cannot handle any items other than human waste and toilet paper. All other objects, no matter how small (i.e., Q-tips, paper, hair, etc.), will clog e drainage system. This could result in damage to the WC.
Heat and hot water are electric and individually metered.
The nearest metro station is Villiers (lines 2 and 3).
