This furnished studio apartment is situated on Rue Saint Jacques between Rue Pierre et Marie Curie and Rue Royer-Collard in Paris. In this ancient riverside quarter between the Seine and the Luxembourg Gardens -- known for its cafes, cinemas, jazz clubs and student bookshops -- famous institutes of learning abound, among them the prestigious Sorbonne and Alliance Française. Bordering Montparnasse, renowned for its mix of art and high living, continues to live up to its name. This residential area is the home of Paris' tallest office tower, Tour Montparnasse. The entire district is filled with many points of interest. There all sorts of essential shops and services near this accommodation : bakery, fruit and vegetable groceries, wines shops and also a laundry.
Premise:
This 23m² (approx 250 sq ft) studio apartment is located on the ground floor of an 18th century building. The entrance gate, protected by a coded security system, opens into a hall leading to a courtyard and the apartment. A second gate, also with a coded security system, opens into a corridor where the apartment entrance is.
The apartment entrance opens into the living room and open kitchen; the separate bathroom is hidden behind a sliding door.
The 17m² (approx. 180 sq. ft.) living room has two double-glazed French doors that open to the balcony with western exposure and a double-glazed window with southern exposure, both overlooking a courtyard.
It is furnished with a double-size sofa bed, a coffee table, a large closet and bookshelves with the stereo, a glass desk with a chair, and a dining table with four chairs.
The open kitchen is equipped with two vitro ceramic plates topped by a cooker hood, a combo oven/microwave, a refrigerator, a freezer, a coffee maker, a kettle and a toaster.
The separate bathroom is hidden behind a sliding door and has a bathtub topped by a showerhead, a washbasin and a toilette.
Heat and hot water are both electric.
For convenient travel around Paris, the nearest metro stations are Luxembourg (RER B) and Clunny La Sorbonne (line 10,RER B, C).
