Neighborhood: This furnished apartment is only at walking distance or one metro station away from the Place de la Bastille where the Opera de la Bastille, considered one of the best opera houses in the world, is located. It is within walking distance to the royal Place des Vosges, the oldest and most beautiful square in Paris and the former place of residence of many historic personalities. Built by Henri IV, its perfect symmetry and verticality are fine examples of classical French architecture. This area is also known for its museums, art galleries and antique shops. In the immediate vicinity of this accommodation are numerous shops, restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, and the well-known Parisian market, Rue Richard Lenoir (Thursday and Sunday mornings). The apartment is also near the Marais, a fashionable old Parisian neighborhood. Premises: This 90m² (approx. 965 sq. ft.) three-bedroom apartment is on a narrow, calm paved street and on the second floor of a 1900s walk-up building. The main entrance gate is protected by a coded system at night and leads to a courtyard. From there a second door with a coded system opens into the staircase. The 30m² (approx. 320 sq. ft.) living room has a parquet floor and two double-glazed windows with curtains that overlook the street. It is furnished with a double-size sofa bed, a coffee table, armchairs, a dining table and a console with a cable TV and a combo VCR/DVD player. This room is also connected to high-speed Internet (wireless is also available). The open kitchen is spacious and equipped with five gas burners topped by a cooker hood, an oven, a coffee maker, a toaster, a dishwasher, a refrigerator, a freezer and, in a built-in closet, a washing machine. The 16m² (approx. 170 sq. ft.) master bedroom has a double-glazed window that faces the street. It is furnished with a double-size bed, bedside tables, built-in closets and a long worktop that is used as a desk with bookshelves above it. The 15m² (approx. 160 sq. ft.) second bedroom has a double-glazed window that overlooks the courtyard. It is furnished with a piano, a table, a bookcase, two built-in closets hidden by curtains and, on the mezzanine, two children's beds. The 8m² (approx. 85 sq. ft.) third bedroom has two double-glazed windows facing the courtyard. It is a baby's room furnished with a baby bed, a cabinet and some toys. The bathroom contains a bathtub with a showerhead, two washbasins and an electric towel-drying rack. The toilette is separate and has bookcases. Heat and hot water use gas and are individual. For convenient travel around Paris, the nearest metro stations are Ledru-Rollin (line 8) and Bastille (lines 1,5,8).
