Large Studio with Mezzanine in the heart of the Old Town of Nice
|
This accommodation is located on the 2nd French floor (i.e. 3rd floor) of a prewar walk-up building. The apartment is approximately 25 sqm + 8 sqm on the mezzanine (even though you cannot stand up in this mezzanine). It can sleep 2 or 4 people and is available for weekly or monthly let throughout the year. The whole apartment has been totally renovated in 2003.
The living room is furnished with a double size sofa bed, and a dining table seating 2-4. Two windows overlook a small street (south exposure).
The open kitchen is equipped with 4 electric burners, and a fridge.
Upstairs on the mezzanine is a double size bed.
The bathroom has a bathtub / shower, a sink with mirror and toilet.
This building is located on a typical street of the Old Town, just a stone's throw from the flowers and antique markets of the Cours Saleya. The Chateau Gardens and the Mediterranean Sea is also a few minutes walk away. This little nest offers everything you would possibly expect from a typical French holyday, right at your doorstep. The Old Town contains a treasure-trove of Baroque art from the 17th and 18th centuries. There are many churches among the narrow streets of this fascinating and timeless district of Nice. There are plenty of restaurants, cafés and boutiques all around. It is a very lively quarter.
Nice, nestled amidst hills and tucked into the unrivalled setting of the "Baie des Anges", is famous for its liveliness and its dynamism. It is also, after Paris, the city that boasts the higher number of Museums in France ; among others, the Chagall Museum and the Matisse Museum. But Nice is also a real melting pot: the city has preserved numerous traces of its eventful past and the diversity of its architecture shows how numerous were the worldwide influences. The Nice train station is served by the high-speed TGV (the "Train Grande Vitesse," only five hours from Paris). The international airport (Nice-Côte d'Azur), situated 15 minutes drive from the apartment, has been built on land reclaimed on the sea. It offers daily flights to/from New York. Otherwise most international flight connections are made through Paris. With a car, Italy is only 20-30 minutes away.
