This spacious 1 bedroom apartment is located in the heart of Marseille - Longchamp Quarter. It is on the Sixth French floor with elevator. It can accommodate up to 4 people.
The layout is as follows:
The entry hall leads to the right to the bedroom, to the left to the kitchen and straight ahead to living room. The entrance hall has a built-in close.
The large and bright double living room is composed of a lounge with 2 sofas (that can be used as either 2 comfortable single beds or joint together to make a queen size double bed) , a coffee table. There is stereo, a TV and DVD Player. The living room has a window and a large sliding bay window opening onto an amazing terrace (45 spm).
A DSL internet access is available. Next to the living room is a dining room with a round dining table, a cupboard and a large built in closet with sliding doors. There is a windows with nice views onto Marseille and the sea -(Port and L'Estaque).
The separate kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, four electric induction plates, a refrigerator and freezer, an expresso coffee maker, a toaster and a microwave oven. A washing machine is available. The kitchen has a very convenient direct access to the terrace, ideal for breakfast and al fresco dinners.
The bedroom is furnished with a double bed with bed side tables, a large built in closet and a chest of drawers. It has a window overlooking Marseille, the surrounding hills and the sea.
The bathroom is equipped with a washbasin, and a tub with shower device.
Toilet is separated.
Outside :
You will enjoy the huge terrace with garden furniture. There nice views onto Marseille but also a small sea view. An electric BBQ is available.
A private parking space (garage) with automated gate entrance could be available (needs to be agreed in advance).
Neighbourhood :
Located a stone throw from the Palais Longchamp and Boulevard Longchamp this apartment is ideally located. Palais Longchamp In the 19th century, with the streams providing an insufficient supply to the city, bridge and road engineers constructed an aqueduct to bring water from the Durance right up to Marseilles. To celebrate this achievement, the palace was raised by the architect Henri Espérandieu. A fountain was added to the top of the reservoir, which comprised a number of statues: an allegory of the Durance, with representations of vines and wheat looking on knowingly from either side. The building is home to the natural history museum, as well as the fine arts museum. Behind the palace, one of Marseilles' finest public gardens is always open for the public to stroll around and for children who wish to go pony riding
Although in the heart of Marseille the area is quiet. It is ideal to discover Marseilles. It also has a direct access from and to the motorways.
Your are also less than 4 mn walk from the Tramway station (Longchamp) that will take you to the Vieux port in 5mn is you decide not to walk.
The nearest subway stations are Longchamp (Line #1) and Saint Charles (Line #1 and #2).
Access to Marseilles :
Marseilles Provence International Airport (30 mn front the center) Train : Gare Saint Charles with the high speed TGV giving access to and from Paris in 3hours ½ but also Nice, Cannes and the Alps is about 3 hours.
Highways from and two all directions (East to the French Riviera, North East to the southern Alps, West to the Cote Blue and Spain, North to Lyon and Paris.
Marseilles is a large Mediterranean city. It is famous for its 'Vieux Port', 'La Canebière', Notre Dame de la Garde Cathedral.
