Three bedroom apartment with private garden in a Hotel Particulier of Villeneuve lez Avignon - A/C
|
This Hôtel Particulier dating from the 14th and the17th Centuries has been totally renovated and decorated by its owners. Located in the historic part of Villeneuve lez Avignon, this beautiful building is divided into two different accommodations, each enjoying a real privacy. The three bedroom / two bathroom apartment available for rent is on the southern wing of the building and has an enclosed and intimate garden. The other wing is currently occupied by the owners, but can be rented as an annex as well, upon request.
You access the Hôtel Particulier through an imposing stone-built entrance with vaulted ceiling. The entrance leads to a private and intimate garden, which is totally unexpected when you look at the building from outside. The private entrance of the apartment is upstairs, on your left-hand side. The apartment is actually on the second and third floors of the building (i.e. first and second French floors).
The apartment is about 180 sqm and the garden about 250 sqm. The apartment offers a double exposure. Some windows overlook garden (west exposure) as others look onto the street (east exposure). This accommodation can sleep 4 to 6 people and is available throughout the year, either for weekly or monthly rentals.
The living area is about 60 sqm and is furnished with two large sofas facing each other. The whole room has high-ceiling with exposed beams; it is beautifully furnished with antique pieces of furniture and decorated with ancient drawings and paintings, giving to the room a medieval atmosphere which is actually the spirit of Villeneuve lez Avignon, a former stronghold village surrounded by ramparts. The dwelling room has a large rectangular dining table seating 6-8 and, above, a beautiful wooden library in mezzanine. However tenants cannot have access to this library. From the living room a large French window looks onto the garden.
The separate eat-in-kitchen is fully equipped: oven, microwave, refrigerator / freezer, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, dishwasher and washing machine. A French window opens onto a terrace and leads to the garden.
The master bedroom is off the living room. It is can be considered as a suite, with a lounge, a bedroom and an en-suite bathroom. There is a sofa, a desk with a chair, a cabled TV (featuring CNN), and a fireplace. Upstairs, on a mezzanine is a double size bed as well as a dressing table with a mirror and a chair. The bathroom has two washbasins, a bathtub and a window looking onto the garden.
On the other side of the main living room, a door leads to a second bedroom that also has a fireplace. There are two twin beds and two windows facing the street and the church.
From the living room, another door opens onto a hidden staircase leading upstairs to the third bedroom that has a double size bed, two 70's-style chairs, a lounge table, a library and a window overlooking the garden.
The second bathroom has a washbasin, a stall shower and water closet.
The apartment has Air Conditioning.
Outside, in the garden, a teak table seating 4 is off the kitchen, on the terrace. There is also a wrought-iron table shaded by a tree and some teak deckchairs. It is the dreamed place to rest or have lunch and dinner.
Free Parking space is available and easy near the property.
