It can accommodate 6 people and is available for daily (3 days minimum), weekly or monthly rentals throughout the year.
The living room is furnished with a sofa, coordinated armchairs, and a lounge table. There is a computer equipped with high-speed internet access (DSL line), and a printer. For your entertainment, there is a satellite TV (BBC, ITV and other UK broadcasters), a VCR, a DVD player and a stereo. The living room has a east exposed window overlooking the dike and the banks of the Rhone river.
The open kitchen is fully equipped: electric burners, refrigerator / freezer, oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, electric water heater, and a dishwasher. There is a dining table seating 6 people.
Two bedrooms are east-exposed and look onto the street. One has a double size sofa bed, the other one twin beds. They both have built-in closet.
The third bedroom has south exposure and looks onto the terrace. There is a double size bed, a dresser and a desk.
The bathroom has a sink, and a bathtub / shower. There is a washing machine. Toilet is separated.
You access the terrace through the building hallway. None of the rooms opens directly to the terrace. It is set out with potted plants, umbrellas and a terra cotta and ironwork table that seats 8. What better place to relax over a glass of local wine or Pastis, enjoying a lovely view of the castle of Tarascon across the river.
Situated in the center of the Golden Triangle of Nîmes, Avignon and Arles, the ancient town of Beaucaire (from "Bel Caire" - Beautiful Stone in Provencal) provides the perfect base for exploring Provence and the Camargue. The town is situated on the riverside of the Rhone, one of the fourth largest rivers in France. The center of has beautiful pedestrian streets and used to be a famous regional market town. Of course, there are banks, restaurants, pharmacies, several supermarkets, and all the shops and services you would expect from a regional hub : bars, restaurants and boutiques of souvenirs.
The regional center and seat of the department, Nîmes, is 20 minutes to the west. Here you find large department stores, luxury shops, and wide pedestrian avenues through its large and lovely historical quarter. The Nîmes train station is served by the high-speed TGV (the "train grande vitesse," only 3 hours to Paris). The "Nîmes-Arles-Camargue Airport", 30 minutes drive away, has daily domestic flights from/to London (Stanstead airport) and of course Paris, where most international flight connections are made through. To the south the land flattens toward the Mediterranean and the natural reserve of La Camargue is worth the trip : flamingos, white horses, black bulls and ... a few mosquitoes ! With a car, you can range far and wide on day trips alone: Saint-Rémy de Provence and the Alpilles are only 30 minutes away and Avignon only 40 minutes. The French Riviera is about less than 3 hours away.
