3 bedroom - 3 baths Mas with pool in Saint Remy de Provence

This lovely Mas is hidden along a small track climbing the Alpilles, 5 minutes drive from the village of Saint-Rémy de Provence.
There are three bedrooms of which two are situated on the garden level. There is a well-maintained garden, and a swimming pool. Snuggled in the landscape, this is an ideal location for nature lovers: there are wonderful walks straight into the rugged countryside. There are enough parking spaces for several cars at the rear of the property, shaded by pine trees along the vineyards.
The layout is as follows :
You enter the Mas via an entrance hall. You will find a first a first bedroom to your right (western part of the house), the living room and kitchen straight ahead.
The second bedroom is across the living room and the third bedroom is a mezzanine bedroom up the living room.
The living room is furnished with two sofas, armchairs and a coffee table. There are nice exposed beams and a working fireplace. There is a TV and a stereo.
There are two windows opening directly onto the garden (west exposure).
Next to the living room is the dining area with a round dining table and a cupboard. There is a French window opening onto the garden.
The separate kitchen is fully equipped with four gas burners, electric oven, dishwasher, toaster, American standard Refrigerator and Freezer and microwave oven.
At the back to the kitchen is a laundry room.
The first bedroom can accommodate 3 people. It consists in a first bedroom with a king size bed and a sofa. You then have access to a separate room with a single bed and a TV.
There are two en-suite bathrooms, one with a stall shower, washbasin and toilet, one with a washbasin and a bathtub/shower.
It is situated in the western part of the house, and also has a private south exposed terrace. This part of the house can also be rented as an independent studio has it has a small kitchen
The second bedroom is a Suite. It is a large corner bedroom of about 25 sqm. It is furnished with Antique pieces of furniture, and has a king size bed, a large walk-in closet, a private en-suite bathroom with large bathtub, separate stall shower, double washbasin and toilet.
There is a direct access to the private south exposed terrace.
There are deckchairs outside. The terrace is looking onto the garden and the swimming pool.
This part of the house can also be rented as an independent studio with kitchenette.
From the living room, you have access to the third mezzanine bedroom via a wooden stair.
This bedroom is furnished with a double bed and a built-in closet.
There is an en-suite bathroom with a washbasin, a shower and toilet.
Outside :
Two terraces are available, one is shaded by a pergola.
There is a large swimming pool and spacious garden, surrounded by a beautiful landscape.
The property is located near the famous village of Saint-Rémy de Provence, just by the mountain range called 'Alpilles'. Within their surroundings, the Alpilles chain of mountains forms both a striking and a harmonious picture. It is also the landscape of famous painters such as Van Gogh, Cézanne and Matisse who came here to capture the extraordinary light and color of the region.
It is also a rich agricultural area with rolling plains of fruit orchards, olives groves and all variety of Mediterranean vegetables. It is alive with the sound of chirping 'cigales' and the intoxicating aromas of multitude of wild herbs. The local market of Saint-Rémy is on Wednesdays and Saturdays. There are plenty of bars and restaurants on the main street going all around the village. This area is the 'Provence of the Rhone' and has a strong Roman heritage. The famous ruins of Glanum are nearby: an archeological site from the first century BC.
The closest highway is the A7, exit Cavaillon, 20 minutes drive away, that goes from Lyon to Marseille with connections for all major cities of the south east of France.
The closest train station is at Avignon and is served by the TGV (Train Grande Vitesse) that goes to Paris in 2 hours and 40 minutes!
The closest airport is Avignon as well with daily flights to Paris. But most international connections are made through the international airports of Marseille-Marignane or Paris-Charles de Gaulle.
