The apartment is located on the 2nd French floor of a quiet residence, with elevator in Aix en Provence South.
It is within 15-20 minutes walk from the centre of Aix en Provence.
The layout is as follows :
Entering the apartment you will find a small entrance hall giving access to the kitchen and the bedroom to the left and to the living room to the right.
The living room is furnished with a double sofa , bar, a dining table and large cupboard. It is equipped with a TV and a VCR
There is a large bay window opening onto a small south/east exposed terrace overlooking the garden of the residence
The separate kitchen is equipped with 4 gas burners, an oven, a refrigerator and freezer and a microwave oven. It has most necessary cooking utensils. There is a washing machine.
There is a small dining table and a window opening onto the garden.
The bedroom is furnished with a double bed, bedside table a large built in closet and a chest of drawers. There is a TV.
There is a large windows opening onto the garden.
The bathroom has a washbasin, and a stall shower.
There is a separate toilet.
Outside :
The residence has a private garden as well as a swimming pool and tennis court.
There are a commercial center with all shops only 2 mn walk from the residence including bakery, grocery, post office...
A private parking space is available in the Residence.
Neighborhood :
The best advantage of the apartment is its location : A few minutes drive from the centre of Aix en Provence.
It is also possible to walk to the centre of town in 15/20 minutes. There is also a bus stop just in front of the residence.
Aix en Provence in Bouches du Rhône district, is a very typical town with an historic center.
It is famous for it's landscapes (Cezanne) . The town is less than an hour drive from the Mediterranean Sea and the ' Parc Régional du Luberon'.
Aix en Provence is also famous for its summer festival (classical and lyric) and it is ideally located to discover the south east of France (including the southern Alps).
Access :
35 km from Marseilles, 65 km from Avignon.
You can get to Aix en Provence by road (motor way) or by train (TGV Train station in Aix) . You can also fly through Marseilles Provence Airport (25mn drive).

The owner was very helpful and friendly [... The vacation rental] is a couple of km from Aix en Provence center. There is a bus stop within 100 meters with frequent buses into Aix en Provence. The apartment is on the second (third US) floor with an elevator. There is also a parking space. We liked the pleasant location which is generally quiet and without traffic noise since the apartment is on a side away from major streets. There is a school near the building but that is quiet when the school day is over. Just up a hill a few hundred meters is a small shopping area with food, bread and meat stores, a post office and nice farmer's market a few days each week. The apartment has one bedroom with the possibility of using the living room for more people. One bath with a shower and another with toilet and sink in the European fashion. There is a balcony with plenty of room for a table and a couple of chairs which we used almost every evening to either eat or have a drink. There is a fairly good restaurant across the street and we ate there when we had been out all day and did not want to go into Aix or make something at the apartment. |
