This fully furnished apartment is located on the 2nd floor of a well maintained, clean, upmarket medium sized block of 25 privately owned flats in the heart of the City of London. The building is equipped with an elevator and video entryphone.

The living room is furnished with black leather two seater sofa, a glass dining and coffee tables and a flatscreen TV with freeview and DVD player. It has stunning views over the gardens of West Smithfield. There is laminate wood flooring throughout living and kitchen areas.

The open kitchen has a window and is equipped with a freezer, a microwave, a toaster and 4 plates touch controlled ceramic hob with oven. All cooking and dining utensils are supplied.

The bedroom is furnished with three quarters bed with storage underneath and a storage space.

The apartment has a washer/dryer and wall mounted heating throughout the apartment.

Farringdon station is a short walk away and is on both the Circle and Hammersmith & City lines. There are also direct trains from here 24 hours a day to Gatwick and Luton airports.St. Paul's is a slightly longer walk away for the Central line. At the end of Giltspur Street are direct buses to the West End.

Note: This apartment is close to Smithfield Market and there are night time deliveries that take place during the week, which can cause some noise.

The meat market next door runs from 3am-8am and is quite loud, the noise starts around 9pm when the trucks arrive to start unloading and setting up.

I think this is a very fair assessment of West Smithfield. The noise issue doesn't seem to have impacted on the overall good experience of the apartment.

Thank you for your review, Grace! Since we knew that the market could cause some noise next door, we had included it in the apartment description. Due to your review we have made it a bit clearer in the description so that it will not be a surprise to future guests.

When we arrived, the sheets were in the washing machine and unusable that night. We had to request another pair of sheets and some towels since they hadn't been provided contrary to what was specified in the agreement.

The owner kept 60 for electricity whilst that wasn't stated in the agreement and that's obviously excessive for the 176 kWh we consumed.

At the time of departure, the owner who had set an appointment for 12 o'clock didn't take the trouble to come and after we contacted him several times, he told us that we just had to leave the keys in the apartment. He could have warned us before.

I was really surprised by your review for several reasons. We had agreed to your early check-in to fit in with your arrival time. As this gave us insufficient time to clean the flat after the previous occupants had left that same morning the linen was still in the laundry. We agreed when you checked-in that we would return later the same day to organize the bed linen and we kept to our word providing 2 additional sets.

Concerning the electricity there was a monthly usage of 34 which was retained rather than 60 Euros. Subsequent emails have identified that your bank has taken a fee for receiving a wire transfer.

For the departure we had agreed that departure was 12pm but that the keys should be left in the flat. There was no need for an appointment nor was an appointment set. I was available all day on my telephone but only received email contact from you to which I responded swiftly.

I normally have a very good rapport with my guests and there did not appear to be any problems with your stay in the apartment.

Overall the apartment is fine and the owners are lovely. The only downside is the bedroom that gives onto Smithfield market and the deliveries that go on all night long, so it's noisy.
