Neighborhood:
This furnished one bedroom apartment is located on Rue de Montmorency between Rue du Temple and Rue Beaubourg. It is located just beside the Georges Pompidou Cultural Center, also known as Beaubourg, and it is close to the Les Halles Mall. It is about a 10-minute walk to the Louvre and the adjoining Jardin des Tuileries, as well as to the Seine River with its unique islands -- Ile de la Cite and the delightful Ile Saint Louis. This area of Paris has preserved almost all of its pre-Revolutionary architecture. It is home to a substantial number of points of interest such as museums, art galleries, designer shops, and diverse, trendy bars and restaurants. In addition to the French traditional and international restaurants and cafes, there are all sorts of facilities near this accommodation.
The street features the oldest house in Paris (built in 1407), the former residence of the alchemists Nicolas and Pernelle Flamel. There is a lovely restaurant on the premises where patrons can dine in the same rooms where these famous alchemists and philanthropists once did. The facade of the building is essentially as it was 600 years ago, but the restaurant inside is much more modern.
