This one bedroom apartment is on the 6th floor (seventh American floor) of a modernized building from the 18th century, complete with an elevator and a concierge. It is in the Saint Germain des Prés neighborhood on the Left Bank of the Seine river, located on Rue Du Regard and Rue de Rennes in the 6th district of Paris.
The apartment is equipped with several recessed windows that provide ample lighting (as it is on the top floor of the building). There is also an elevator for your convenience. The living room is large and fully furnished, with:
The bedroom has a double bed (140cm/55inch), a large built-in closet, a chest of drawers and a cable TV with VCR. It also has one recessed window right next to the bed with shutters. Please note that the bedroom is separated from the living room by a curtain, not a door. The same is true for the partition between the bathroom and bedroom.
The kitchen is separate and comes with all appliances provided, including:
The bathroom is white tiled, with a combination bathtub-shower, a washbasin and a mirror. Please note that while there is no door separating the bedroom and bathroom, the toilet is in a separate room with a door for your privacy.
This vacation rental is located in a calm area close to a major commercial street, the Rue de Rennes. Less than a 5-minute walk away is the Montparnasse Tower, the tallest building in France and the Montparnasse station, one of the busiest in the city, with connections to regional and long-distance trains. This area has all sorts of bars, shops, restaurants and cinemas. Very close by is the world's oldest department store, 'Le Bon Marché', long synonymous with Parisian class and style.
Many of the most famous sites in Paris are within walking distance. Originally the royal gardens of Marie de Médicis, queen regent of France, the Jardin de Luxembourg is the perfect place for an afternoon stroll. Right across the river is the Musée du Louvre, the world's most famous art museum. There is also the Notre Dame Cathedral, which was started in 1163 by Louis IX, widely recognized as one of the finest examples of Gothic architecture. This area of the Left Bank is known as the Latin Quarter, Paris's student district and also the oldest part of the city.
The apartment is very close to several different metro lines. The closest metro stations are Rennes (line 12), Saint-Placide (line 4), and Sèvres-Babylone (line 10, line 12) Also within walking distance is the Montparnasse Station, where four metro lines (the 4, 6, 12 and 13) converge, as well as commuter trains (the RER), and regional and long distance trains.

great flat! the photos are a good depiction of the actual apartment--clean, stylish and comfortable, hardwood floors, chicly updated kitchen and bath, lots of natural light and enough lamps to accommodate reading in the evenings in both the living room and the bedroom, quiet building, quiet street, just off a main boulevard with restaurants, markets, metro. you won't be disappointed.

We were very happy with [our Paris] apartment on rue de Regard. It made a big difference being able to base ourselves 'like home'. The facilities were excellent and the location was superb. We would do it again through NYHabitat and we have since recommended the website to other friends who have travel plans.
