The 8th arrondissement of Paris is located on the right back of the Seine River to the west of central Paris. The 8th arrondissement contains several important sites in the city including l'Arc de Triomphe, the Champs Élysées, Place de la Concorde, with its famous obelisque and Palais de L'Élysée home of the French president.
