I rented an apartment last year as well, through NYHabitat. I just wanted to let you know that last year we stayed at an apartment [in Paris] rue de Ranelagh in the 16th arr., and we had an even better experience there. That apartment was much better, but of course, more expensive than the one we rented this year. And the landlord was such a great guy! He called a couple of times while we were there to see if we needed anything. He came down when we arrived and lugged all our suitcases up the stairs. He came over the morning we were leaving to give us our security deposit back and just to chat. He was also extremely handsome, so my daughters and I enjoyed sitting around talking to a darling French guy for a couple of hours before we left. I would've rented his apartment again this time, only it was unavailable for our dates.
