A trip to Paris is not complete without a visit to the Eiffel Tower, and from this one bedroom apartment you will get the most out of your visit! Located in the upscale and elegant 16th arrondissement of Paris, it has the Champs Elysées on one side and the iconic Tower on the other, and has two balconies offering fantastic views onto the famed monument! Tastefully decorated, this 60m² (645 sqf) apartment is located on the 2nd floor (equivalent to the American 3rd floor) of a 20th century stylish building featuring a wide nice gleaming hall, three elevators, and a 24 hours door keeper.
Hardwood floors and south exposed wall-to-wall windows are an attractive trait of the living room and bedroom. Screened by curtains they bring in much light, opening to two 10m² (107 sqf) balconies overlooking the street, and the majestic Eiffel Tower to the left. The living room is fitted out with a sofa on both sides, a choice extensible round dining table and six matching chairs, recessed bookshelves and cabinets, and a floor to ceiling wall mirror. The comfy 14m² (150 sqf) bedroom is furnished with a double bed with nightstands and lamps, a single bed that can also be used as a sofa and has a TV with cable. The kitchen is tiled and equipped with all the necessities to cook your meals at home as well as cabinets containing the necessary utensils. Here you will also find the convenience of a combo washer / dryer. The marble tiled bathroom encloses a bathtub protected by a glass screen, built in cabinets and ceiling spot lights. The separate toilet is also marble tiled and has a blue ceramic washbasin.
Located at Avenue d'Iena & Avenue Albert de Mun, you will be steps away from the Jardins du Trocadéro, a great place to view the Eiffel Tower. Access the Place du Trocadero with its numerous restaurants by crossing the small park in front of the building, walk up the stairs to the large marble plaza of the Palais de Chaillot and take in the stunning views of the Eiffel Tower across the river Seine. The views are even more impressive at nightfall when it sparkles! This area offers plenty of other things to do as well as basic commodities for your everyday life in Paris, such as:
- Shopping: If you are in the mood for some shopping, the exclusive fashion designers on Avenue Montaigne and Avenue George V are only 800 meters (0.5 miles) away. Additional shopping options can be found on one of the most beautiful avenues in the world, the Champs Elysees (1.2 km or 0.7 miles away). Even if you are not planning on buying anything, stroll down these avenues to capture some of Paris' most luxurious windows!
- Restaurants: For a light lunch or a weekend brunch, the restaurant La Bauhinia is located on the same block, in the Shangri-La Hotel, and serves French cuisine and Asian dishes in an elegant and refined décor. 350 meters (0.2 miles) away still on Avenue d'Iéna is the restaurant "Les Arts" where you can enjoy French cuisine in an intimate setting in a superb 19th century ''hotel particulier''. If you wish to cook at home, there is one of Paris's greatest market that takes place every Wednesday and Saturday and starts at Place d'Iena.
- Museums: The Maison de Balzac (1.3 km / 0.8 miles away) is dedicated to the 19th century French novelist Honoré de Balzac and located in the writer's house in the Passy area. The museum displays rare manuscripts, letters, personal objects and other artifacts. The Palais de Chaillot dominating the Trocadéro incorporates the Theatre National de Chaillot as well as the Musée de l'Homme and the Musee de la Marine. Nearby the Palais de Tokyo houses the Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris with its collection of twentieth century art including Matisse and Delauney.
- Everyday commodities: There is a post office a few steps away on the same block, a supermarket on Rue de Longchamp, a drugstore on Rue Laurison, as well a bakery and a butcher all located within a 640 meters (0.4 miles) radius.
The closest metro station are Iéna (line 9) and Trocadéro (lines 6 and 9). Line 9 links west and east Paris via the city center, and interchanges with all but one of the 13 metro lines, making commuting very easy!
