West exposed, it shows genuine beams, white walls, 2,80m high ceilings and a choice parquet floor.

A glass roof and wall-to-wall double-glazing windows, and a glass door enlighten the 23m2 living room and the 10m2 alcove. Featuring a single sofa bed, two nice folding chairs, a top glassed coffee table and console, a rectangular marble topped dining table with two cane chairs, recessed wall shelves, a cable TV with international channels, a stereo, lustre and other lamps, in the living room there is a ladder climbing to the mezzanine’ 0,90cm wide single bed below which there is a built in closet. In the alcove there is also a double bed. To the right side the open kitchen space is equipped with two vitro ceramic burners, a multifunction oven, a combo fridge-freezer, electric kettle and coffee maker, and a toaster. Above and below the stainless steel sink there are cupboards and drawers containing the necessary utensils.. Beside the main door the all white bathroom has a superb lustre, a bathtub with detachable showerhead, a white ceramic washbasin with a mirror above and a cabinet below, a washing machine, and toilet.

Little street bordering the Seine River situated in one of the most attractive and historic areas of the Left Bank, the world famous Saint Germain des Près, it encloses the oldest restaurant of Paris - "Le Procope", with French traditional specialties and excellent fresh seafood, patronized by Voltaire in the 18th century. Not far are the selected open-air market of the rue Buci, the famous Cafés "Deux Magots" and "Café de Flore", both having been the favorite haunts of existentialists and expatriated American literate back in the day. This neighborhood offers number of elegant up to date fashion shops, as well as all kinds of conveniences.

The photos of this space do not do it justice! The sleeping alcove is partitioned off with a curtain, so there was no issue in keeping the room dark. The location was perfect -- a quick walk from multiple metro stops and about a 20 minute walk from Luxumbourg Gardens, the Louvre, Notre Dame, and so much more. The view from the balcony was perfect for watching the sunset over the city and it was a wonderful spot to have a quick breakfast before heading out for the day. You even get a glimpse of the Eiffel Tower! While this wasn't a negative for us, it is important to note that the apartment is a 6 story walk-up and the steps are steep and winding. Again, I didn't see this as a negative but it could impact someone's stay if it came as a surprise.

The 5th floor apartment has an excellent location next to Pont Neuf and a terrific view over the Eiffel Tower, Sacre Coeur, the Louvre and the Seine. The apartment was as described, very Parisian with lots of character, beams, great details and a big terrace. But also with a fast high speed internet, lots of kitchen utensils, washing machine as well as many guidebooks. The owner is very kind and helpful on arrival, checkout efficient. It was our 2nd stay, and hopefully we will be back soon. Beware, however, the many steps - there is no elevator.

The experience is exceptional. It is the only apartment I like to rent in Paris; the roof deck, view from the wall of windows, location, charming building, pleasant owner make this my priority rental in Paris. Kitchen works well- which is great considering the nearby markets & wine shops. I could go on and on but I could live here for weeks. Also- 130 steps to get to the top floor where this apartment is located- great to have one last sprint to end the day after all the eating I do in Paris.

Olivier, the owner, is just the best. Love this apartment. I dream about the view and it is the only apartment I want to stay in anymore in Paris. Anytime I stay somewhere else, no matter how upscale etc, I end up missing this place.

Lots of steps to climb- 123 last I counted, but the pay off is a cozy apartment with a fun reading loft in a great central location. Lovely building.

Beautiful westward view, clean apartment, comfortable bed, adequate kitchen, charming owners. However, big disadvantage was the missing cell phone (apparently broken by previous tenant).

The sofa bed is suitable only for children. Apartment could be improved by providing cell, soap and extra blankets.

Answer by: Paris Customer Service

The owners explained that the cell phone was broken but there is a home phone with free calls to Europe and North America, they added that they now have a new cell phone.

They explained that the sofa bed is not as comfortable as a real bed. The owners received the suggestions about the supplies and blankets.

We loved that on arrival there was a doorman who helped bring our bags up and that on opening the apartment door the view was spectacular. The apartment owner was also very helpful.

We took this apartment knowing the number of stairs to the top, but the little effort was well worth it. We even had a view of the Eiffel Tower to watch the night time sparkle of the lights every hour.

Splendid vacation rental, at the heart of the French intellect of all time - opposite the French Institute dome -, thus fostering the joy of effort from thinking as much as from physical activity, going forward, step-by-step.

The River Seine nearby, and herewith Paris glitterati.

Our experience with NYHabitat and your staff was wonderful. We will never forget our amazing apartment in Paris, which was comfortable, stylish and in the perfect location! It was much larger than we anticipated, and fully equipped with everything we needed.

The balcony was an added treat, with the most amazing view of all of Paris! What a great spot to listen to the cheers of the city as the Eiffel Tower exploded in twinkling lights each night! It was so nice to have a home to go to at the end of a long day.

We hope to stay in the same apartment on our next trip, and will definitely use NYHabitat again. Thank you so much!

My fiancee and I were very happy with the apartment. Everything was very well represented on the website, [the owner] was easy to work with and our only regret was that we didnt have more time to spend there. The location is perfect for what we wanted and the view from the balcony was even better than shown in the pictures. Sitting out at night watching the Eiffel Tower light up was a treat!

I would definitely stay at this apartment again if the opportunity presents itself.

Thank you very much

Hi: We were apprehensive when we entered our apartment [...] in Paris because the floors and walls of the hallway were kind of dirty and as we climbed and climbed, I said to myself: I don't care if it is terrible as long as it has hot water and a passable bed. When we opened the door we were very shocked. The place is much nicer than any hotel. The photographs did not do it justice at all. What a perfect apartment.

The kitchen is filled with gourmet quality appliances and the bathroom is very luxurious. The bed was first rate and the bed linens were top quality.

We were able to cook a great dinner and lacked for no pot or kitchen tool. The dishes were porcelain and even table linens were provided. The kitchen had basic necessities already in the pantry such as coffee, rice and spices.

Our view of the rooftops of Paris was stunning. The entire back wall of the apartment is floor to ceiling windows and the deck on the balcony allowed us to have dinner outside.

Our host was very helpful and cordial. The apartment is beautifully situated on a street of art galleries, less than a block from everything we needed; grocer, butcher, bakery and many fine restaurants. Our host left many books and maps of Paris which were very helpful.

In my opinion, the price was fair, maybe a little high; because of the 122 stairs one needs to climb to get to the place. This keeps it from being a spot that you can easily pop into and out of during the day. We were in pretty good shape, but it is quite a climb coming and going.

My only suggestion would be: that the owner provide a computer for the internet service. If he did it would have saved us having to spend a small fortune at the local internet café.

Thanks to [the owner] for a wonderful vacation and I know we'll be back. I would definitely return to the apartment again and would recommend it to anyone who asked. If they want to call me for references, I would be glad to give a glowing report.

I am pleased to say that I got excellent service from your NY office - especially when there were some changes in the itinerary and in the apartments.

The apartment I rented [in Paris] was excellent in every way. My fiance and I were delighted with the place, with the neighbhorhood and the service [the owner] provided. It's rare these days to have an arrangement work out as well as this did.

We would very much like to return, perhaps in the fall or early winter.

Thank you for the opportunity to tell you what a great experience it was to work with NYHabitat before my recent visit to Paris. I rented a small studio and it couldn't have gone smoother. The New York contact was very efficient and courteous and made this all very easy for me.

The paperwork arrived promptly; my Parisian landlord was easy to work with. The apartment itself met my every expectation. The pictures on your website were accurate; the apartment was clean and felt very secure.

I will definitely use your service again for my next trip to Paris. Thanks!

We had no complaints concerning the apartment. Exactly as advertised. For multi-story apartments, you might want to add a standard check-box for "elevator available" for older or disabled customers.

All our descriptions state whether there is an elevator or if the vacation rental is located in a walk-up building.

The apartment in Rue Guenegaud, Paris was excellent. Even better than expected because some of the furnishings had been renewed since the pictures on your site were taken.

The patio had also been re-decked. The owner was a most generous and amiable host. Would recommend this apartment to anyone. Although be aware of the stairs.

It is on the sixth floor and there's no lift. However if you're up to it the view is worth every step.

We had a really nice stay at the apartment. We didn't encounter any communication problems with the owner or your company. Everything went very smoothly in terms of booking the stay.

The owner was there on time to let us in and was on time to hand over on our departure date. The place was clean and was very well equipped. The owner even did up a list of emergency numbers and directions to get to essential stores, taxi stands, etc., he even had tons of Paris guide books in the suite which we found very useful. We enjoyed the bottle of welcome Champagne and Evian we got. And also, we were quite relieved to our deposit back without much hassle at the end of our stay.

We definitely feel this has been a very positive experience, and we look forward to renting another apartment from your company in the future and we will be recommending our family and friends to try your company as well.

I was very satisfied with the apartment; it was well situated for shops and the Latin Quarter etc, and the finish and presentation/equipment/appliances/hot water etc were excellent. The owner had even provided a bottle of champagne.

However, it should be made quite clear that it is at the top of 5 flights of stairs with no lift, so NOT advisable for those not so steady on their legs, or unable to lug heavy luggage upstairs!

Many thanks

We were delighted with the apartment we rented in Paris. It was immaculately clean, very well equipped and very comfortable, and in a superb location.

It was also a pleasure dealing with the owner [of the accommodation] Our only criticism was that it probably isn't really suited for sleeping 4 people (the sofa bed for the fourth person was not at all comfortable).

However, we will definitely rent this apartment again in the future.
Thank you.
