1 Bedroom Vacation Rental in Invalides (PA-3384)
1 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom - Sleeps

Few apartments enjoy such breathtaking views on the most famous monuments of Paris! Since located on the 7th floor (considered 8th by Americans) of a 8-story building of the Invalides area, this 1 bedroom apartment facing east and west offers amazing views on the Eiffel Tower and the Hotel des Invalides golden dome; as you are just in between Esplanade des Invalides and Champ-de-Mars, the two parks home to these landmarks! Your building features a secured access granted by digicode, a concierge and a convenient elevator to reach your apartment and its terrace with appreciated views on the Parisian rooftops.

Your apartment displays hardwood floors and white painted walls for a nice contrast and a warm atmosphere. The living room features a single sofa bed, coffee table, built-in closet and bookcases with murphy desk as well as dining table and chairs. It opens through French windows on the furnished 160 square feet (15 sqm) terrace overlooking the street and its views on the Hotel des Invalides and zinc rooftops. The bedroom offers a double-size state-of-the-art bed in the futon-style, however equipped with a true mattress with an extra pad for additional comfort. The bed faces a floor-to-ceiling window with a truly amazing view on the Eiffel Tower! Indeed, you can see it from its first floor to its very top, and can also enjoy this sight while cooking in the equipped kitchen! It comes with the major appliances you might need to cook as well as a practical dishwasher, even though with such a view you might be tempted to clean the dishes yourself! You are provided with double-glazed windows in every room and cable TV with DVD player as well as wireless Internet access. The windows also are equipped with rolling shutters when you want absolute privacy.

On Rue Amelie and Rue de Grenelle, this one bedroom puts you in the Invalides neighborhood in the 7th arrondissement of Paris. Everything in this area seems on a monumental scale, from the sprawling 18th century buildings of the Ecole Militaire, the Hotel des Invalides, the Seine River and the Champ-de-Mars Park, which stretches down to the Eiffel Tower! All these landmarks are within a 0.4 mile (643 meters) radius from your rental and you can find even closer plenty of amenities, including the street market on Rue Cler, just around your block! Across the street from your very building, you will have the convenience of a laundromat. The avenues around the Tower, just 0.6 mile (965 m) away, are lined with luxurious buildings, some in the Art Nouveau style, and numerous embassies. The Eiffel Tower was originally built to impress visitors to the Universal Exhibition of 1889 and meant to be temporary; however it now is the symbol of Paris.

For convenient travel around Paris, the nearest metro station is La Tour-Maubourg on the 8 line, just 0.2 miles (320 m) away from your building entrance so don't hesitate to use it as Parisians would!

Please note that a school is located nearby the apartment, therefore children can be heard at times.

First time stay in Paris for me and my wife. I searched many sites until I found this apartment. So glad I did.
The view of the Effiel tower is even better than the photos. Short walk to Metro station La Tour-Maubourg, which is central to most of the main lines.Easy station to use.
Perfect host who was very easy to deal with.
As stated in the description there is a school in the courtyard below the apartment, but we were out each day it really wasn't anything we worried about.
Easy walk to most areas in Paris, plenty of cafes, resturants and produce markets nearby.
When we return we will be looking at this place again. Many thanks for a wonderful stay.

Once again this apartment was simply the best from a space and location standpoint. This was my second time staying in this apartment and well worth it. Everything worked, Marie was fantastic and I would highly recommend this apartment for one or two people. Location, location location and who can ever get tired of the views of The Eiffel Tower and The Golden Dome!

A great location for the tourist spots of Paris with easy access to two subway stations and some good eateries. Not a place if you are using a car. Absolutely fantastic view of the Eiffel Tour. The furnishings could do with upgrading, particularly the seating in the living room. The bathroom is tiny and is meant for tiny figures. Could do with a really good scrub.

Thanks for your review Taqdees.

Indeed, my apartment offers a great view on the Eiffel Tower and is ideally located.

I arranged it personally and there is nothing old at my place (quite the opposite!). The apartment is well equipped, the bedroom's and living room's mattresses were replaced only 5 years ago. As per the living room's seating, the protective canvas covers are replaced regularly! I can understand that the bathroom is too small or that the furniture is not to everyone's liking or comfort, but I don't think that the furnishings should be updated. Besides, the apartment was refurbished (paintings, tiled floors, etc) only 3 years ago.

Regarding cleaning, the building caretaker (who is an outstanding and popular cleaning lady in the neighborhood!!) thoroughly cleans the apartment during 3 hours before each rental (the previous day or in the morning before arrival). During the inventory of fixtures that I do systematically with each guests, I also make sure to ask them if they are happy with the cleaning state of the flat and I offer them to ask the cleaning lady to come back. When guests are staying more than a week (which was your case as you stayed 2 weeks), I offer them, if they wish, an extra cleaning service during their vacation. I can't remember that you mentioned anything about the cleanliness of the apartment during inventory of fixtures. You signed it and seemed rather satisfied. You did not ask for an extra cleaning service either during your stay.

Best regards,

My partner and I stayed at the apartment from 19-24 Oct 2015. We loved the cozy and quaint apartment which have everything you need including a terrace. The bathroom/toilet and futon bed may be on the small side but we did not mind it at all. Great and safe location - metro train, laundromat, supermarkets, bakeries, shops, Rue Clear local markets, cafes & restaurants (Chinese, Japanese, Indian, Italian, French etc) all within close proximity. The views of the Eiffel Tower from the kitchen and bedroom are simply magnificent. We did not hear any noise from the nearby school. Marie is the perfect host. She replied to emails promptly and answered all my questions. She tried very hard to make our stay comfortable and explained everything we needed to know. She even got us a bottle of French champagne - such a nice touch! I would stay there again!!!

I had a lovely stay at Marie's cozy apartment. It had a personal feel; it was not soulless like some vacation rentals. The terrasse is a plus, although it could use a little TLC. There is plenty of cooking and dining equipment. It's great for a single, or a couple.

Thank you for your comment Margo. I agree with you but as I don't stay in my apartment permanently, it is not easy! Indeed, upkeeping flowers, plants and trees is time consuming and needs regular care! It is better to have a « naked » terrace than a badly maintained one! :-)

The apartment was in a great, safe location. It is within walking distance of major attractions (Eiffel, Seine, Orangerie). View is as promised and the owner is very accommodating and helpful (She is a phone call or email away). WE cannot say enough good things about the apartment, owner and location. I gave 3 starts for the quietness because a lot of children play in the courtyard during the week... This is only an issue if you leave the window of the terrace open. Otherwise, it is not a problem at all. we would definitely go back when we can.

This was our first trip to Paris, and we couldn't have been happier with the apartment. Marie, the owner, is wonderful---warm, friendly, and very helpful. The views from the apartment are splendid---The Eiffel Tower on one side, and the golden dome of Invalides on the other. Rue Cler is only about a block away from the apartment with all its great cafes and stores. Eiffel Tower is a short walk away also. The apartment is quiet and clean as is the entire building in general. There is a Metro stop a few blocks away, as well as a taxi stand where you can
always find a taxi. In short, the apartment and neighborhood are extremely convenient for all your Paris needs. We never got tired of watching the Eiffel Tower light up each night from the windows of our bedroom---gorgeous. I highly recommend this apartment to anyone considering it, as we would not hesitate to stay there again. Our entire experience was top notch.

Our stay was fantastic. The apartment was the right size for two adults and provided all the amenities that we required. Marie was great from her meeting us when we arrived to meeting us as we departed. As was stated in another review, the apartment lives larger than it is. The views are utterly fantastic and we never tired of seeing the Eiffel Tower out our windows nor seeing Les Invalides from the balcony and the great view of the Paris skyline. Location is the best, in the very best neighbourhood with plenty of restaurants, shopping and just fun walking - especially in the early evening when the streets are alive. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Bus #69 is so close and the walks to Champ de Mars and Rue Bosquet and Rue Bordennais are fun every time.

We were here for 14 days and cannot say enough good things about this apartment, the location, the amenities, the "cool" factor of the 7th, the location and above all the very kind and generous service of Marie. We miss Paris already.

Our first time in Paris, and we were so glad we chose this apartment. In our 10 day stay we fell in love with Paris.......and this apartment. It is bright and airy with amazing views. It has a fantastic view of the Eiffel Tower. Big terrace with table and chairs - - the perfect spot for a glass of wine in the evening. The location couldn't have been better - - shopping, restaurants, and laundromat a few doors away. Close to bus (Line #69 serves many of the major tourist attractions) metro, and taxi stand. Secure building. The building's lift is small (3 people who like each other maximum) and painfully slow (gave us a laugh every time we used it) but beat climbing 7 flights of stairs.

The landlord was wonderful. She couldn't have been more welcoming. It has a large closet for hanging clothes and storing suitcases. We loved this apartment and would gladly stay there again. Hope some day we can.

A+ in every way!

This was our first trip to Paris. The apartment owner met us at the previously arranged time, and went over every detail of the apartment and gave us some very good advice about the surrounding area. She was very accommodating and friendly.

The apartment itself was great. The view of the Eiffel Tower from the bedroom was worth the rental fee by itself! The terrace was a great spot to enjoy a glass of wine, and the kitchen held all the amenities required for eating or drinking at home. After full days of sightseeing, it was nice to be able to come home and relax in such nice surroundings.

Location wise, it is only a few minute walk from the markets on Rue Cler, as well as multiple grocery stores. Walking to the Eiffel Tower took around 10 minutes. Les Invalides and other places of interest were also very accessible by foot. Otherwise, there was a metro stop a couple of minutes away.

The neighborhood was very quiet at night, but we were still able to find some great places to eat or have a drink. We felt safe walking the neighbourhood around the apartment, even late at night.

All in all, it was everything we'd hoped it would be...and more. When we come back to Paris (hopefully soon), we will definitely look to stay here again.

I have stayed in Paris numerous times, trying out different neighborhoods each time. The seventh arrondisement is now one of my favorites! This apartment was simply magic, with its view of the Eiffel Tower as close as if it were our next door neighbor's Christmas tree. Just watching those twinkly lights so nearby each evening made us feel as if Paris were our very own little city.

Having stayed in places with five floors of stairs, I appreciated the convenience of the elevator. In immediate proximity were the fabulous Rue Cler and its daily open market, plus several grocery stores and a laundromat. A metro stop ( and a small comfortable one at that) is around the corner.

The owner went out of her way to make us feel welcome and pampered. You just can't beat the convenience, the comfort, and the je ne sais quoi of this darling apartment.

We couldn't have beeen happier to be in an apartment rental as opposed to a hotel.

The location of this apartment was central to several of the sights in Paris with a fabulous view of the Eiffel Tower a few blocks away right out of the master bedroom. Invalides was beautiful and clearly visible off the balcony on the back porch with Sacre Coeur out on the horizon.

The owner was awesome and extremely helpful.

The apartment is beautiful, all white and a lot of light. Has an updated kitchen, new wooden floors, new windows (soundproof, german type).

The bedroom and kitchen faces west and have the most stunning view of the Eiffel Tower. Dont miss the gorgeous SUNSETS with the Eiffel Tower as a background and of course the hourly twinkly, being the best the 1 AM, when the Eiffel Tower structure is not lighted, so, the twinkly look like little starts in the shape of the ET.

The living room opens into a big Terrace (huge for Paris standards), you can see from here the Invalides, The Grand Palais, the Sacre Cour at the horizon. Great at SUNRISE.
I like that the walls are bare and everything is white, because doesn't distract from the gorgeous views.

Marie, the owner is very gracious and helpful, she email you immediately after NY Habitat makes the connection. She is waiting at the appartment after your flight. She explain how everything work, and familiarize you with the neighborhood.
Everything is in a block from the apartment: the Metro, the Bus, two Supermarket, several Bakeries, the Taxi stand.....and many restaurants.
Also, have WIFI and unlimited FREE international calls to USA and many other countries.

I highly recommend this apartment.

The apartment was in a quieter residential area of Paris, so no noise issues. We had a fabulous view of the Eiffel Tower from our bedroom window which we really enjoyed. Location was just superb, only 15 mins walk to the Eiffel Tower, or to the river, and very close to the metro station.

All in all, a very nice and clean modern place to relax in, complete with terrace and great roof top views.

Add my recommendation and praises for this apartment to all the others. I couldn't find anything wrong with this apartment.

Location, secure building, cleanliness, supplies, access to Metro, restaurants, wine store, bakery and fruit market, grocer, all you could ask for.
Don't hesitate because of the size, it's really lives much larger than it seems in the description.

The terrace is wonderful, offering views of The Invalides and Sacre Coeur. The view from the bedroom and kitchen is of the Eiffel Tower. The hourly light show after dark is spectacular.
In the courtyard below is a school yard, but noise in the upper floor location is negligible and it made us feel like we were really a part of daily Parisian life. With the doors closed, you couldn't hear anything.

This was our 3rd time in Paris so we weren't rushing around to do all the tourist stuff and probably spent more time in the apartment than most visitors. It is much more comfortable that it looks in the pictures, bright and plenty of room for 2 people. There is no air conditioning and it got pretty warm one of the days we were there. We opened the windows/doors on each side of the apartment creating a beautiful cross breeze and were very comfortable, and no bugs, I don't know how they do that.

The owner was very accommodating to our arrival and departure times which made coming and going very easy.
The apartment was very well supplied and equipped. The owner stays there sometimes so it has everything you need. One day the shower was draining slowly, we found drain cleaner and were all set.

The Metro is close by and offers great connections and it's easy to get anywhere in the city.

It would be hard to top this apartment so the next time we're off to Paris we plan to stay in this apartment. It will feel like going home.

We had two incredible weeks in this Paris apartment. The apartment was the perfect location, great restaurants, Rue Cler market area two blocks away and close to metro station. We chose to walk most places which was possible as the apartment is centrally located in the 7th arrondisement. The views of the Eiffel Tower are even better than the ones shown in the listing. Laying in bed, opening the French doors and gazing at the Eiffel Tower is a pure Paris experience.

The terrace with its views of Sacre Coeur and the gold dome of the Invalides was another treat. We had many relaxing dinners out on the terrace which was equipped with an umbrella table and chairs as well as lounge chairs.

The apartment was the perfect size for my husband and I and the futon couch in the living room was large enough for my college age son studying in Paris who stayed a couple of nights.

Marie the apartment owner was extremely friendly and helpful. She met us at the apartment and told us about all the local places for shopping and eating. She was always available by phone or email if needed. Amenities of the apartment were the wireless internet access as well as the free phone for local calls as well as calls to the US.

We hope to be able to visit Paris again and will definitely stay in the apartment. I have recommended it to all of my friends as it is the perfect place for a couple or small family. Mary California visit dates 9/23 - 10/9.

My husband, 16 year old daughter, and I enjoyed a wonderful week in Paris in July 2011. After a day sampling the sights, streets and cafes of Paris, we returned to relax in the apartment, which is located in the district of Palais-Bourbon (7ème arrondissement). It felt like home at the end of each day.

The apartment is clean, bright, and simply appointed. It is well suited for a couple, and sleeps three comfortably. Its top floor location is accessible by elevator or stairs, and it provides for some memorable views. We especially enjoyed the view of the nearby Tour Eiffel from the bedroom each day; and we enjoyed morning coffee on the sunny balcony while catching glimpses of the golden dome of the Hôtel des Invalides. Rue Cler is three blocks away and there we bought food for home-cooked meals and sampled some of the local restaurants. The apartment is in a quiet neighbourhood. It is only two blocks to the nearest Metro station (La Tour-Maubourg) and the rest of Paris.

Upon our arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the owner. She is well organized and thorough, explaining everything about her apartment, and she gave us a quick tour of her neighbourhood, making us feel truly comfortable. We know where we will stay when we return to Paris!

We enjoyed staying here. It was nice to come home to. It was tiny, but well laid out and suited 2 people very well. The bed was comfortable, although I suggested to the owner that new pillows would be appreciated. There was a terrific terrace with a table and chairs which was lovely to sit and eat dinner on, as we did many nights.

The apartment is located 2 blocks from a terrific street market, where we purchased fresh vegetables, fruit, seafood, meat, bread and wine. Close to a Metro stop, and close to Velolibs (bicycles), and a laundrette.

The owner was very nice, made very good suggestions for places to try for dinner and responded quickly by email when we had questions. We were there for 2 weeks and were quite comfortable. The view from the kitchen and bedroom of the Eiffel Tower is spectacular.

The terrace has a view of the gold dome of Napolean's tomb. I don't think you can get more Parisian than that! We hope to return.

We rented the above mentioned apartment in Paris for 9 days in September, and I am writing this to let you know that we were very pleased with our choice. The apartment is in an excellent location, in the 7th arrondissement, close to the Tour Eiffel, Les Invalides, to the Seine, and many other highlights of this wonderful city. The apartment is also very close to Rue Cler with its well known market and little stores.

The apartment is in a safe building, with a concierge, and accessible via a secure code. From the bedroom and the kitchen you have a fantastic view of the Eiffel Tower, right in front of you! From the little terrace outside the living room you can see the dome of Les Invalides and also Montmartre.

The apartment had anything needed for a pleasant stay, the kitchen was equipped with all the necessities, the owner was kind, she met us on time to give us the keys, and also when we had to return the keys, and was available for any questions that we had.

I would definitely return to this apartment and recommend it to friends.

You can marvel at the views from the near rooftop terrace while enjoying a glass of wine in the foreground of Le Grand Palais, Sacre-Coeur Basilica and L'Eglise du Dome (Les Invalides), then retreat to your bedroom in the presence of a scintillating Eiffel Tower performing its nightly ritual only to be greeted by courtyard birds upon awakening from your comfortable slumber.

The apartment's owner is truly vested in ensuring your satisfaction of both amenities and your Parisian experience. You could not ask for a more pleasant way to live the lifestyle if only for a fleeting moment, this further facilitated by NY Habitat's booking and communication process.

We had a delightful stay in the rue Amelie apartment. The very kind owner was flexible and accommodating about a change in our arrival time. She was there to meet us, and even had bottled water and wine chilling in the refrigerator for us, along with pastries for our first breakfast. She took us on a tour of the neighborhood which was very helpful.

The apartment was just right for my daughter and me: bright and clean with simple furnishings and a kitchen with every needed accessory. The best part of our Paris apartment was a breathtaking view of the Eiffel Tower from the bedroom and kitchen windows.

We also enjoyed the terrace for late-afternoon wine and relaxing. The location was perfect, a quiet street 1 1/2 blocks from the market street, rue Cler.

We would stay there again in a heartbeat! I am so glad I found it through your website, which was user-friendly and thorough.

Just got back from a great trip through Europe.
The apartment in Paris was EXCELLENT, the Eiffel Tower filled the bedroom window and was a highlight. The position of the apartment was perfect, everything was close by.

The neighborhood was filled with all the necessities including supermarket, a fresh food market and excellent restaurants.

The owner was sensational! She took her time to show us the apartment and then took us on a short tour of the neighborhood which was an unexpected but fantastic surprise, and don't let her tell you otherwise, her English is better than most.

In summary, the apartment was perfect, position and condition, when we go back we'll be staying there again.

Once again thank you for the opportunity to stay in this apartment and meet the owner, it was an experience that both myself and my wife will NEVER forget.

The Paris apartment was everything we hoped it would be. It was clean, airy and bright and the owner made us feel welcome and not only showed us the features of the apartment but walked us around the neighborhood to show us where things are. The apartment was conveniently located near the Metro and a short walk from the Invalides, the Seine, and the Eiffel Tower. It is not apparent in the pictures on the website, but the apartment has spectacular views of the Invalides Dome from the front terrace and the Eiffel Tower from the kitchen and bedroom windows.

The view of the Tower must be one of the best anywhere in Paris. We certainly recommend the apartment to others. The kitchen is well-equipped and the nearby bakery is wonderful. Our only cautionary note would be that the bed is a very firm futon only a few inches off the floor and may be difficult for people older than we are (60's) to manage.

Our apartment in Paris - Great location [Invalides], view of Eiffel Tower, felt secure, it was almost perfect.
The only shortcoming-If I had to pick something-would be the bed in the bedroom could be upgraded, as it is a futon, queen size, but still a futon, a little lumpy and hard and low for old folks. This is a great apartment, but that would sure make it perfect.

BUT I still laid on that futon and watched the Eiffel Tower twinkle til two in the morning-how could I complain?
The owner was great to work with. Eager to please. NYH was also great, quick to get back to me, which is why I booked with you. You always replied in a timely manner.

Ah! Paris, I miss it already.
