This sunlit 1 bedroom apartment is on the 6th floor (considered 5th by Europeans) of a prewar walk-up building in the East Village section of Manhattan, New York City. This building has a front door security system with double doors and a locked security gate. The closest laundry facility is right across the street. Please be aware that this building does not have an elevator.
This apartment is located in a good neighborhood in Manhattan. Rent is affordable for the size and location. The apartment is not luxurious, just standard, so keep your expectations aligned.
This one bedroom apartment with plenty of windows and hardwood floors throughout measures approximately 450 SQF in area (about 33 SQM). As you enter the apartment, there is the open kitchen and the bathroom located to the right. The open kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, a microwave and some cupboards and a dining area with chairs for two. Adjacent to the kitchen you will find the living room, furnished with a double-size futon, a desk and a television. The bedroom has a double size bed, a dresser and a nightstand with a lamp for some nighttime reading, as well as a wall of exposed brick, a remant of the prewar roots of the building.
Just over half a mile from Union Square (approximately 1 km), this East Village apartment is conveniently located near several popular restaurants such as Luzzo's, Masak, The Red Head and Hearth restaurant, all within a two block radius. If you feel like tasting some of the best pizzas in New York, head to Motorino Pizza, less than 1 block away from the apartment. The nightlife is vibrant in the neighborhood as there are several terrific bars and clubs as well as movie theatres. For those who prefer cooking their own meals, then there is a supermarket about two blocks away, and a Trader Joe's and Whole Foods Market are both found on 14th Street. Check out the Green Market that is held at Union Square all year round for fresh produce, a favorite with NYC locals. To wake up in the morning, you can visit Starbucks at 13th Street & 1st Avenue (less than one block away).
The nearest subway station serves the L train and is located one block away from the apartment. This will take you to the transit hub at Union Square in just two stops, or across the East River to Williamsburg in Brooklyn in just one stop!

The overall apartment was really good the pictures look exactly like the apartment (except the futon on the living room was different and not in good condition). |
