In regards to nightlife, Avenue A has an excellent bar scene as you stroll south, and several locations also serve as live music venues! Two blocks south you also have the famous Tompkins Square Park, a nice place to relax any time of year; keep an eye out during summer months for their free outdoor movie screenings, a great way to meet other New Yorkers!
The other fabulous aspect of this apartment is that it is only 3 blocks from the subway station at 14th Street and 1st Avenue.
