If you're looking for lots of space in a great neighborhood, this three bedroom apartment located at 62nd Street & Woodside Avenue in Queens' diverse and bustling Woodside neighborhood is the right choice for your time in New York City. Your space is on the ground floor of a walk-up building, there are also stairs at the entrance. The building features a security system, and you'll find laundry facilities across the street.
Your apartment is fully furnished. The living room is a great place to unwind on the sofa, and the television includes basic cable. You can also convert the couch into a double bed. The eat-in kitchen is galley-style and includes a window. Here you'll find the essentials such as pots and pans that you'll need for cooking during your stay and an excellent selection of appliances including a toaster, coffee maker, and microwave. The apartment features one full bathroom that has a bathtub with shower and WC. All three of the bedrooms have windows and beds: a queen in the first bedroom, and double beds in the second and third bedrooms. Air conditioning is available in the living room -- one unit for the entire apartment. Please note that the windows in most rooms face a common alley-way between buildings. Complimentary wireless internet access is available.
Woodside is a terrific neighborhood, and your apartment is located in the heart of the area, centered near the subway and Long Island Railroad stops a block away. Here you'll find a varied selection of restaurants, with everything from Irish pubs to upscale coffeehouses and some of the city's best ethnic food. Sripraphai consistently wins accolades for offering the best Thai cuisine in the city. A short walk away at 64th Street and 39th Avenue, this is a must-try during your time here. You'll also find a nice selection of grocery stores to choose from in the vicinity.
As previously mentioned, your three bedroom is very close to the 7 train and Long Island Railroad at 61 Street / Roosevelt Avenue : Woodside, both great options for quick access to Manhattan and the rest of NYC. Please note that the proximity to the train sometimes creates noise in the apartment. During peak hours, the 7 train runs both local and express routes, and if you take the express train you will arrive at one of New York's busiest transit hubs, Grand Central Station, in just five stops. You can also catch the M and R trains at 65 Street / Broadway, within the area, offering transit from Queens to Manhattan.
Please note that due to the closeness of the commuter hub, trains can be heard on a regular basis.
Very good location, next to the subway and LIRR; outstanding.
Oct 08 2012The cleanliness of the building and surroundings is terrible. I could never open the windows as there is a garbage collector full of flies, very different from what is advertised on the website.
There was only one air conditioner for the bedrooms, the living room and the kitchen, which was terrible considering the temperatures are unbearable in New York during the months I was renting the apartment.
