I found the price to be excessively high for the service. I didn't have a functional kitchen for the 2 months I spent in the apartment (only the last 10 days). So the price should be reconsidered. If I have to go back to New York I will not stay in the same apartment.

The house was undergoing construction works during my stay. I didn't see it as a roommate share but as a house divided into lots, each bedroom having its own private entrance. It was not a shared living space. I only had access to my bedroom and the bathroom.

First and foremost, the price being asked for is reasonable considering where I am located, which is a highly desirable and accessible address which is quiet, peaceful and private. (clients generally keep to themselves and have something to get done while they're here, and don't seem to have a problem with that) What we offer is exactly what you stated...rooms. Albeit beautifully appointed rooms that have everything a nice hotel room would have or one would need to habitate, with a little more. Which is why most of the folks who come here are entirely happy and satisfied because it's exactly what they want.

We do not offer "services" per se, and I guess we are not a "roommate share" strictly speaking and maybe the language in the listing could be amended to reflect that if necessary. And yes, the only rooms presently that our guests have access to, and indeed need or want access to is their own living space, the bath and the kitchen.(most of them anyway) I was still working on getting the kitchen finished when you were here and informed you about that when you arrived.

In the meantime, I provided you with a hot plate so that you could cook in your room, and you assured me that was "perfect" and "all you needed". I also constantly check in on my guest to inquire as to any problems they may have and try to address and resolve them promptly. I remember doing this on many occasions with you and was told everything was fine. I guess you said that because the things that you had problems with, you already knew there were no solutions to.

If you're looking for a place where there is a communal area or living space in which u can socialize with other residents, this is not it, we don't have one...yet. I'll let u know when we do, because I am planning for such a space. We will be having work done in the house for some time to come, in my continuing effort and endeavor to create the most beautiful environment & the most pleasant and rich living experience for my guests and for myself that I possibly can. (I live here too) However I am ever mindful that I do not sacrifice the comfort & peace of mind of my guests in the doing, and always seek feedback a,d respond to any concerns and issues that may arise. I hope I have addressed all your issues satisfactorily, and that this communication clears up any outstanding questions u may have had regarding my place, and hopefully none of this information has a negative impact on potential guests/ clients.

I am thankful to NY Habitat for their continued partnership and look forward to a long relationship that stretches far into the future, and I am also thankful to the many patrons who have come to stay with us over the years and left us completely happy and satisfied, many of them returning. Thanks to you for your feedback and observations. Even when they are not entirely positive these reviews/assessments are very valuable to us and deeply appreciated.

Sincerely and with respect, I am yours truly, Jonathan.

This apartement is perfect for a student or a traveller like I was. The place is very safe and not too far from Downtown. It takes really 20 minutes to go to Times Square. The metro station is at 5 minutes walking. So if you stay a while in New York this room is for you.

Very convenient, confortable and authentic.

I stayed in this apartment for a month and couldn't wish for a better place. The host was very welcoming and made me feel at home.

My room as well as the shared bathroom were clean and really spacious, you wouldn't expect that from New York. I didn't use the kitchen , but you have a small fridge in the room, which was great given how hot NYC can be.

It is located in Harlem, but I always felt safe walking home at late hours, there were also good 24-hour eateries nearby. Plus, the subway is only 5 minutes on foot, so the trip to Midtown is only about 25-30 munites.

Would definitely stay there if I go to NY again
