One bedroom close to the Rue Mouffetard
|
Little lively street well situated in the famous Quartier Latin, between Rue Monge and Rue Lohmond.
Very attractive and historic area of Paris, just beside the rue Mouffetard, one of the oldest streets in the city where twice a day Mouffetard's open air market is active. Many nice restaurants and cafes animate the area partly due to the proximity of the Universities. Not far from the apartment, is one of the most famous monuments, the Pantheon, originally built as a church, having become the national memorial and burial place of France's great men. Furthermore, the green expanses and pools of the Jardin du Luxembourg soften the intense urbaneness of the area.
Very silent and bright this 31m2 1 bedroom duplex is located on the second floor of a prewar walk up building having a very silent and nice courtyard, a security code, and a guardian. The exposure is east and all the windows facing the courtyard. It has been recently entirely refurbished and is perfect for a student. The entrance opens directly on the living room area (on the right hand side) and on the kitchen on the left-hand side. Facing the kitchen is a desk corner. The second floor of the apartment is reachable by a ladder, which leads to a hallway. Facing it is the bedroom and on the right hand side the bathroom.
On the ground floor is the 27-m2 living room. It has a double- glazed window with view over the courtyard.. There is wooden floor and beams on the ceiling. It is furnished with a decorative fireplace, a 140cm wide sofa bed, a coffee table, set of shelves, a small TV, a VCR and a halogen lamp.
The open and eat-in kitchen has wooden floor and a window facing a courtyard as well. It is equipped with a small wooden table bar with 2 stools, a nice mosaic worktop with two sinks, 2 induction hot plates, an electric oven and microwave (combo), a small fridge and a freezer. There is also a coffee maker and all the necessary utensils are in the cupboards.
The desk corner is furnished with shelves, a glass table and a chair.
On the first floor, the hallway has a skylight. It is furnished with a large built in wall cupboards with, in one of them, the combined washing machine and dryer.
The 4,5-m2 bedroom is open onto the hallway. It has coco floor and beams. It is decorated with a 160-cm wide double mattress.
The bathroom is partly tiled and partly white painted. It contains a bathtub with a shower with hand held showerhead protected by a half plastic door. There is also a washbasin topped by a mirror and toilet.
The closest metro stations are Monge and Censier Daubenton (line 7).
