Situated in the Grands Boulevards area, between rue d'Hauteville and rue Faubourg Saint Denis. A live district, the Grands Boulevards, enclosing the most famous and traditional Parisian Department Stores, are composed of boulevards named - de la Madeleine, des Italiens, St-Martin, des Capucines, Montmartre, Poissonnière, St-Denis, Bonne-Nouvelle, des Filles du Calvaire, Beaumarchais and du Temple, and the intersections of numerous shorter streets. In addition to the remarkable passageways - Verdeau, des Panoramas, or Jouffroy as well as Vivienne gallery -, they have each much to see in their own style. In a short distance by metro or bus are other places of interest such as the Opera, Champs Elisées, and Saint Germain des Près. A heaven of peace full of character this 46m2 studio is located on the fifth walk up floor of a late 19th century building equipped with a security system. It has white walls enhancing the genuine exposed beams and the nice herringbone patterned parquet floor. A hall corridor placed right after the main door leads to the facing living room. Bright due to the five windows west exposed, facing the courtyard and overlooking Paris landscapes, roofs, and full sky, the 38m2 living room has on a large section a 3.60m high ceiling. Genuine vertical beams split it into two sides. Decorated with antique round dining table and five chairs, wooden dresser, cabinets, and decorative fireplace, moreover it has a stereo, a telephone, and curios from diverse countries, lamps, and evergreens. In this first part also is the open kitchen space. Behind the vertical beams the ceiling is 2.20m high. There are two club armchairs, a leather pouf, a desk, a wardrobe, an area carpet, paintings, and a ladder climbing up to the mezzanine under the roofs, enclosing a 1.40 wide double futon bed. In the open kitchen space equipped with four gas burners, a gas traditional oven, a combo fridge and freezer, an electric kettle, and a toaster, the round stainless steel sink is placed on the wooden worktop below a small window opening to the courtyard. In addition there is a washing machine. Mosaic tiled and off white painted the bathroom is fitted out with a tiled shower cabin protected by a plastic curtain, a white ceramic washbasin with a cabinet above, and a window. The toilet is separated. The closest metro stations are Strasbourg Saint Denis (lines 4, 8, and 9), and Bonne Nouvelle (lines 8&9).
