One bedroom apartment in the Bastille area
|
Situated between rue de Charenton and rue Emilio Castelar.
In a short walking distance to the broad and historic Place de la Bastille where is the new Opera considered as one of the best in the world, inaugurated for the 200th anniversary of the French Revolution, this street close to one of the most peculiar open-air markets, the Marché d'Aligre, taking place everyday except Mondays. All conveniences are easily found in the neighborhood.
Located on the ground floor of an early 20th century building equipped with a security system and an intercom, this 35m2 one-bedroom apartment has parquet and tiled floor, 3m high ceilings, and north exposed windows looking out onto the silent private courtyard.
A long corridor leads to the living room and open kitchen, to the bedroom and to the bathroom.
In the 18m2 living room, there are a window with outside shutters and a door opening to the courtyard. It is fitted out with a single bed acting as sofa, a coffee table on castors, a TV and a floor lamp. Here is the open kitchen.
The 12m2 bedroom is furnished with a 140cm wide double bed placed low on the floor, a built in closet, a round console, wall shelves and a portable stereo. There also is a window with outside shutters opening to the courtyard.
There is a dining table with two metallic chairs in the open kitchen area. Besides it is equipped with two gas burners, a hood with exhaust fan, a mini oven (the one seen in the picture is to be replaced), a combo fridge-freezer, stainless steel sink, cupboards and utensils.
Next to the kitchen, the bathroom encloses a tiled shower cabin screened by a synthetic curtain, a white ceramic washbasin, and a medicine cabinet.
There is a separate toilet in the corridor.
The closest metro stations are Ledru Rollin (Line 8), Gare de Lyon (lines 1,14, RER A and D) and Bastille (lines 1, 7, and 8),
