An elegant apartment in a heart of a lively district

This one / two bedroom apartment is located on a small street in the 10th arrondissement, opening on the Grands Boulevards just a few steps away from the beautiful Porte Saint Martin and its cafes such as La Brasserie Flo. Also very close to the Porte Saint Denis; two triumphal arches erected in the 17th century to celebrate major French victories and recently cleaned and restored. It offers the occasion to discover the Grands Boulevards (composed of boulevards named de la Madeleine, des Italiens, St-Martin, des Capucines, Montmartre, Poissonnière, St-Denis, Bonne-Nouvelle), where all the major department stores are as well as cinemas and restaurants. It is at a short metro distance from the Opera Garnier. But it is also one of those traditional popular district of Paris, where one can find a great mix of communities and cultures, such as the Passage Brady, with all its Indian restaurants, the famous jazz-club "The New Morning", the Brazilian cabaret "Les Etoiles", African beauty salons and lots of lovely passageways. This elegant and spacious one bedroom apartment is situated on the 5th French floor of prewar building equipped with an elevator and a digicode as well as an intercom security system. Since it is situated at an elevated floor it is sunny and calm (all of the windows on the street side are double-glazed). This apartment is easy to live in with its antique style interior. It has just enough to create a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. For instance all the walls are painted in white and the floor have a parquet floor. The layout is as followed : The entrance door opens on a hall, which gives an access straight ahead to the kitchen, to the right to the master bedroom and to the toilet. From the bedroom a hallway links this room to the living room. In this hallway, on the left side, a door opens on the bathroom. The living room gives an access to the office on the left. On the left side, there is also a hallway that goes from the living room to the kitchen. The layout has the particularity of allowing visitors to go from the entrance, thru nearly all the rooms and back to the entrance. The very large and luminous living room faces the street and the two double glazed French windows with white net curtains allow the light to come in. It is nicely furnished with a sofa, a red velvet chair, a marble table, a white and a black coffee tables and a cable TV. The bedroom 1 has a window with yellow curtains facing a quiet courtyard. It is furnished with a full size bed. There are antique furniture, two armchairs, a table and a lamp as well. The colors of the furniture, the wooden floor and the curtains are all in delicate matching shades that go from white, thru yellow to light brown. The office / bedroom 2, that can easily be turned into a bedroom, has one double glazed window facing the street. It is furnished with a large wooden bookcase, a matching desk with a computer with Internet access, a telephone and a very nice stereo system. There are also two built-in closets and a mirror. The owner can provide an extra bed upon request. The hallway, which links the living room to the kitchen, is nicely arranged with its dark wall-to-wall carpet, its large bookshelf and red lamp. The "eat-in" kitchen is well arranged and pleasant with its white walls, gray tiled floor and its wooden worktop. There is a window with white net curtains. It is equipped with a marble table with a bench and chairs, an oven, 4 gas burners, a cooker hood, a coffee maker, a toaster, and other standard kitchen appliances. This kitchen can easily accommodate four persons. The bathroom is tiled in white and has a wooden floor. It is equipped with a shower; a washbasin surmounted by a mirror and a laundry machine. The toilet is separated. It has a tiled floor, white painted walls and wooden bookshelves. Since this apartment is nicely decorated, is well lighted with a clear view and in a lively neighborhood, it is ideal to discover the real Parisian life. The nearest metro station is Bonne Nouvelle (Line 8).
