A cozy one-bedroom apartment near Beaubourg
|
Neighborhood: Located in the ever popular Marais district, one of Paris' best preserved neighborhoods, the Marais offers many wonderful examples of pre-Revolutionary architecture. It is located close-by the Georges Pompidou Cultural Center, also known as Beaubourg. A little further on, but still within easy walking distance, is Les Halles Mall, and the well-known pedestrians-only rue des Gravilliers, a residential and commercial street with greengrocers, fishmongers, as well as lovely restaurants and cafes. Many other major Parisian attractions such as the Louvre, the City Hall, and the Seine River with its enchanting islands are near-by as well.
Premises: This one bedroom apartment is located on the fourth floor of a lovely late-nineteenth century building. There is an elevator in the building. The main entrance gate is protected by a digicode security system.
The entrance door opens directly into the living room. On the right there is an open kitchen and the bathroom. Straight ahead, the corridor offers access to the bedroom.
The 12m² living room has a wooden floor and white painted walls. The window has white net curtains and opens onto the courtyard. It is furnished with a contemporary style sofa bed, a coffee table, an armchair and a large bookshelf containing a cable TV with a DVD player and a sterio. The walls are decorated with pictures and there is a rug on the floor.
The open kitchen is completely tiled, the floor in a muted red and the walls in yellow and blue. It is equipped with two electric burners and a refrigerator, a microwave oven, an electric oven and a toaster. Above the sink, there is a shelf and a white cabinet that contains dishes and cooking utensils.
The 11,5m² bedroom is finished in the same spirit as the living room, with its wooden floor and its white walls. The window has yellow curtains and overlooks the courtyard. It is furnished with a double size bed, a desk with shelves above. In the two recesses there are more shelves and a wardrobe. This room is connected to Internet.
The bathroom is tiled: the floor in red and the walls in white. It is equipped with a shower, a washbasin with a mirror and a toilet. There is a window, which opens onto the courtyard.
There is a laundry room equipped with a washing machine and a dryer machine. It is located in a private hallway, which leads to the apartment.
The nearest metro station are Hotel de Ville (lines 1, 11), Rambuteau (line 11), Châtelet, Les Halles (lines 4, 1 7, 14, 11, RER A and B).
Smoking and Pets are not permitted.
The heat and hot water heater are both individual and electric.
