Two bedroom apartment situated near Saint Germain des Prés
|
Situated close to the historical district of Saint Germain des Pres with its elegant, trendy streets known for the many stylish fashion shops, art galleries, sophisticated and traditional restaurants, pubs and cinemas. After World War II, St. Germain-des-Pres became synonymous with intellectual life centered around bars and cafes. Within a short walking distance to the Seine River, the ile de la Cité with Notre Dame Cathedral and the delightful Ile Saint Louis. At shorter distance are Luxembourg large gardens. There are all sorts of essential shops and services in the neighborhood.
This 91m2 apartment is located between Rue de Babylone and Rue Chomel in the 7th arrondissement.
It is on the first floor of a Haussmanian walk-up building facing the Square Boucicaut bordering the 6th arrondissement. The main entrance gate is protected by a security system and the staircase leading to the apartment by an intercom and a concierge.
The entrance door opens onto a hallway. On the left is the kitchen, straight ahead are the living and dining rooms and on the right are the bedrooms, the bathroom and the separate WC.
The apartment has parquet floor everywhere and many rugs.
The kitchen has a big window overlooking the courtyard. It is painted white and decorated in blue. It is equipped with a combo fridge / freezer, a stainless sink, an oven, a microwave, four gas burners, a dishwasher, a small table with two chairs, a toaster and a coffee maker.
The living room has two entrances. It is spacious, bright (South exposed) and has two windows overlooking the beautiful Square Boucicaut and the hotel Lutecia. The living room is mostly furnished with antique furniture: four cabriolet chairs, two big sofas, a beautiful decorative fireplace, a TV with VCR, a phone and a stereo.
Also straight ahead the dining room opens onto the living room. It has one window overlooking the square. It is furnished with a table and a corner showcase. There is an armchair that transforms into a comfortable guest bed.
The hallway leads to the bathroom furnished with a white ceramic washbasin, a bathtub and a washing machine.
The first bedroom (13 m2) is furnished with antique furniture, a double bed (140cm wide).
You have to cross the bathroom or the first bedroom to get to the second bedroom.
The second bedroom (18 m2) has one double bed, a desk, a very big closet and a dresser. It has a small office corner.
Both bedrooms are overlooking a courtyard. A bed for two year-old children is also available.
The closest metro stations is Sèvres-Babylone (lines 12 and 10) and nine bus lines.
