This residential area is the home of Paris' tallest office tower, the Tour Montparnasse. It is also known for the Rue de la Gaité, the heart of Paris' theater district. Close by is France's leading medical research center, the Institute Pasteur, founded by the world-renowned scientist Louis Pasteur.
