Neighborhood: In short walking distance from the apartment are the Place Vendôme, the Opéra Garnier, the Louvre Museum, and the National Library. Large department stores are within 10 minutes walking distance, and many of the major haute couture shops and luxury boutiques can be found on the nearby streets of the Champs Elysees area. Premises: This one-bedroom apartment with a western exposure is located on the fifth floor (sixth in the USA) of a 19th century building equipped with an elevator. A coded security system and an intercom protect the main entrance gate. Layout: The entrance door opens into a corridor which leads to the living room and the open kitchen; to the left is the bathroom and then the bedroom. The bedroom is also accessible through the living room. The living room has two double-glaze windows overlooking the street. It is furnished with a double-size sofa bed, a bedside table, a dining table, a closet, a high-speed Internet connection, a cable TV, a stereo and a phone. The open kitchen is equipped with two vitro ceramic burners, a washing machine, a refrigerator, a microwave, an oven, a coffee maker, a kettle and a toaster. The bedroom is furnished with a double-size bed, two bedside tables and some shelves. But be aware that there is no window in this room. The bathroom has a shower, a washbasin and a toilet. The nearest metro station is Palais Royal Musée du Louvre (lines 1,7). Heat and hot water are both electric and individually metered
