Neighborhood: This apartment is in short walking distance to the Arc de Triomphe, Champs Elysées Avenue, and the prettiest of the Parisian parks, the Park de Monceau. It is surrounded by alluring gates and features French-style gardens and paths, sculptures of renowned personalities, and Corinthian pillars. This refined area is also close to two of the traditional and best known open-air markets - rue Poncelet and rue de Levis with a number of colorful, quality fruit and vegetable stalls, as well as fashion shops, nice restaurants and cafes. The famous French poet Verlaine lived in this district from 1851 to 1865 at 10 rue Nollet, and the peaceful little house at 28 rue Lemercier was the residence of the famous composer, Jacques Brel. Premises: The 33m² (approx. 355 sq. ft.) one-bedroom apartment is situated on the third floor of a 19th century "hotel particulier" with concierge. The main entrance gate is protected by a digital code and opens into a paved corridor leading to the door of the building. Through there is an authentic 19th century staircase. On the first floor, another staircase leads to the upper floors. The entrance door opens directly into the living room and the open kitchen. The 20m² (approx. 215 sq. ft.) living room has two windows with exterior shutters and interior Venetian-style wood shutters; it has a southwestern exposure and overlooks the courtyard. It is furnished with a sofa, a coffee table, a wooden and leather desk with its leather chair, an area rug, a crocodile leather lamp, a flat screen cable TV, and a DVD player with a (small) home theater system. The open kitchen is separated from the living room by a bar with stools. It is equipped with four vitro-ceramic plates, an oven, a refrigerator/freezer, a dishwasher, a washer/dryer, a kettle, a toaster, a coffee maker and all kitchen utensils. The 6m² (approx. 60 sq. ft.) bedroom has a window with interior Venetian-style wood shutters and a northeastern exposure overlooking a second courtyard. It is furnished with a double-size bed, two bedside tables, a large built-in closet, and a phone. The bathroom has a shower, a washbasin, and a separate toilet. There is also an extra storage room on the same floor outside the apartment. Heat and hot water are collective with the building. The nearest metro station are Miromesnil (Lines 13 and 9) or Monceau (Line 6).
