Be aware that there is a dog living in the apartment (but he won't be there during the rentals). Neighborhood: Neighboring the splendid Luxembourg Garden, this mostly residential street is part of the Quartier Latin, one of the most youthful areas of Paris. A few steps away is the Pantheon, among the most important Parisian points of interest; it is a secular temple and known as the burial place of such greats as Victor Hugo, Alexandre Dumas, Emile Zola, and Marie and Pierre Curie. In walking distance is the Sorbonne as well as the Seine River and its traditional secondhand booksellers and delectable islands. The area boasts a number of restaurants and cafes, diverse shops, and other quality conveniences such as the Maubert Mutualité and Mouffetard open-air markets, supermarkets, and fine bakeries. Premises: This 44m² (approx. 470 sq. ft.) two-bedroom apartment is located on the fifth floor of an 1850s walk up building with a security system (digicode and intercom) and a concierge. The main entrance gate leads to a courtyard and the building entrance. This opens to the staircase. The apartment entrance opens into the living room and the open kitchen. The 16m² (approx. 170 sq. ft.) living room links all the other rooms. It has a window with an eastern exposure overlooking a large courtyard. It is furnished with a double-size sofa bed, a dining table with chairs, an Arabian-style console, an armchair and an antique, French-style console. The open kitchen has a small window and is equipped with a refrigerator, a small oven, two electric plates and two gas burners topped by a cooker hood, a coffee machine, a dishwasher and a washing machine. The 8m² (approx. 85 sq. ft.) first bedroom has a window with a western exposure overlooking a courtyard. It is furnished with a single-size bed, a bedside table, a desk with chairs, a built-in closet and a decorative fireplace. The 12m² (approx. 125 sq. ft.) second bedroom has a window with the same exposure and view as the first. It is furnished with a double-size bed, a bedside table, a hi-fi stereo, a piano, a desk with a chair, a Louis XV-style armchair, and a built-in closet. The bathroom has two windows and one of them overlooks a large courtyard with a view of Paris rooftops. It contains a bathtub and a washbasin. The separate toilet has a large built-in closet. Heat and hot water are both electric and individually metered. The nearest metro stations are Denfert Rochereau (Line 6, 4 and RER B) and Port Royal (RER B).
