Neighborhood:
This studio is located a few steps away from the delightful Saint Martin Channel, bordered by trees and dotted with little bridges, making it an idyllic local landscape; it is one of Parisians' favorite areas to live. It is also near Republic Place, one of Paris' multi-cultural neighborhoods preferred by many intellectuals and artists. Very centrally located, this apartment is five minutes by metro to Place de la Bastille and to Place des Vosges in the Marais. There are a lot of transportation options in this area, including numerous metro lines as well as bus service. There are also plenty of diverse services such as shops, cinemas, restaurants, cafes, and supermarkets.
Premises:
This 38m² (approx. 405 sq. ft.) alcove studio apartment is located on the fifth floor of a 19th century building. The main entrance gate, protected by a coded security system, opens to a hall and then a door with another coded system. This opens to the staircase and the elevator.
The apartment entrance opens into a hall linking the living room, the bathroom and the kitchen.
The 25m² (approx. 265 sq. ft.) living room has two double-glazed windows with external shutters and southwestern exposure overlooking a courtyard and Parisian rooftops. The living room is divided into two parts by a wall. The first part is the living area, which is furnished with a dining table with chairs, a TV, a double-size sofa bed and built-in bookshelves. The second part is the bedroom area, which is furnished with a double-size bed, a console with a stereo, and a large closet.
The separate kitchen has two windows with southwestern exposure overlooking a courtyard and Parisian rooftops. It is equipped with four electric burners with a cooker hood, a refrigerator, a microwave/oven, a coffee maker, a toaster and a small dining table.
The separate bathroom, which has wooden walls, contains a bathtub, a washbasin and a toilette.
Heat and hot water are both electric.
The nearest metro stations are République (lines 3, 5, 8, 9, 11) and Goncourt (line 11).
