Neighborhood:
This furnished room is situated close to the historic district of Saint Germain des Pres with its elegant, trendy streets. This area of Paris is known for the many stylish fashion shops, art galleries, sophisticated and traditional restaurants, pubs and cinemas it contains. After World War II, St. Germain des Pres became synonymous with intellectual life centered around bars and cafes. This accommodation is within short walking distance of the Seine River, Ile de la Cité (with Notre Dame) and the delightful Ile Saint Louis. At a shorter distance are the Luxembourg Gardens. There are all sorts of essential shops and services in the neighborhood.
Premises:
This 8m² (approx. 85 sq. ft.) maid's room is located on the sixth and last floor of a Haussmannien-style walk-up building. The main entrance gate is protected by a coded system and opens into a corridor leading to a courtyard from where a second door protected by a key opens into the main staircase.
The apartment has a western exposure.
The entrance door opens into the main room, which has a tommette tiled floor and a window with shutters that overlooks the courtyard. It is furnished with a single-size bed, a desk with a chair, shelves, a chest of drawers and a small wardrobe.
There is also a shower cabin and a washbasin with a mirror.
The owner provides a very small refrigerator, a microwave and an electric kettle. It is strictly forbidden to cook inside the apartment.
The toilette is located outside the apartment on the same floor and has to be shared with the other tenants.
Heat and hot water are electric and individual.
For convenient travel around Paris, the nearest metro station is Sèvres Babylone (lines 10 and 12).
