Neighborhood:
This furnished apartment is located on Rue Saint Severin between Rue de la Harpe and Rue du Petit Pont. It's a little street in a pedestrian area that offers numerous choices of international restaurants, diverse cafes, and souvenir shops. One of the most youthful areas of Paris, this accommodation is a few steps from the Seine, Notre Dame, and from the Boulevard Saint Michel which abounds with an assortment of shops. About 100m to the south is the famous Boulevard Saint Germain with its sophisticated fashion shops and select restaurants. It is located just in front of the smallest street in Paris -- Rue du Chat Qui Pêche.
Premise:
This 30m² (approx. 320 square feet) one-bedroom apartment with a mezzanine is situated on the second floor of an 18th century walk-up building. The entrance gate, protected by a coded security system, opens into a long corridor, which links to a courtyard. Then a staircase leads to the apartment.
The apartment entrance opens into the living room and the open kitchen. There is a separate bathroom and a small bedroom, which is accessible from the open kitchen. The apartment has a 3.50m high ceiling.
The 20m² (approx 215 sq ft) living room has two windows with northwestern exposure overlooking the street. It is furnished with a double-size, modern-style sofa bed, a modern-style coffee table, a console with a TV, and a chest of drawers. A ladder leads to a mezzanine with a 1.30m high ceiling, which is furnished with a double-size bed on the floor.
The open kitchen is separated from the living room by a bar and stools. It is equipped with four gas burners topped by a cooker hood, a small refrigerator, a combo microwave/oven, a coffee maker, a kettle and a toaster.
The 5m² (approx. 50 sq. ft.) bedroom has a window with southwest exposure overlooking a courtyard. It is furnished with a double-size bed and a bedside table.
The separate bathroom has a shower topped by a showerhead, a washbasin and a toilette.
Heat and hot water are individual and electric.
For convenient travel around Paris, the nearest metro station is Saint Michel-Notre Dame (lines 4.10, RER B).
