Neighborhood:
Located near the historic Cemetery of Père-Lachaise where celebrities such as Chopin, Moliere, Oscar Wilde, and Jim Morrison are buried, this furnished apartment is near the place de la Bastille and its numerous cafes, restaurants, and other services in Paris. It is also near the new Opéra House, considered one of the best operas in the world and inaugurated at the 200th anniversary of the French Revolution. Known for its art galleries, antique shops and also for the famous French novelist Victor Hugo's residence, Place des Vosges is just a 10-minute walk away from this accommodation. It is still possible to visit Hugo's apartment and the room where he wrote his novels (especially Les Misérables).
Premises:
This 25m² (approx. 265 sq. ft.) studio is located on the fifth floor of a 20th century building, which has an elevator. The main entrance gate is protected by an intercom and opens into a hall with a concierge. Then comes the staircase and the elevator. Upstairs there is a corridor to cross to go to the apartment.
The main room has a parquet floor and a window with curtains and shutters that overlooks the street. It is furnished with a double sofa bed and a dining table with two chairs that allows up to four to eat when it unfolds. There is also a corner with a desk with shelves for books and shelves for clothes .It is equipped with a cable TV, a stereo and a DVD player.
The separate kitchen has a window and it is equipped with two electric plates, a refrigerator, a coffee maker, a toaster and a kettle.
The tiled bathroom is fitted with a bathtub with a showerhead, a washbasin and a toilet. Two chairs in more tidy up in this room can be use. It has a window.
Heat is electric and collective and hot water is also electric but individual.
For convenient travel around Paris, the nearest metro stations are Rue Saint Maur (line 3) or Ménilmontant (line 2).
