This furnished apartment is situated on Rue des Ecouffes between Rue du Roi de Sicile and Rue des Rosiers in the Marais. This lively, historic Parisian neighborhood is pervaded by a special atmosphere and has a high concentration of museums, art galleries, and designer shops. There is also a number of eclectic and trendy bars and restaurants in the area. This accommodation is only a short walk away from the royal Place des Vosges, which is hailed for the harmony of its architecture and famous for being the residence of renowned French novelist Victor Hugo from 1832 to 1848. The celebrated and culturally rich Louvre Museum and the Jardin des Tuileries are within a reasonable distance as well.
Premises:
This 33m˛ (approx. 355 sq. ft.) alcove studio is located on the first floor of a 17th-century walk-up building. The entrance gate has a coded security system and opens into a courtyard. From there, a second gate leads to the staircase area.
The entrance door opens into a small hallway, which allows access to the living room, the open kitchen, and the separate bathroom.
The 25m˛ (approx. 269 sq. ft.) living room is divided into two parts: the living area and the bedroom area. The living area has two windows with southern exposure overlooking a courtyard. It is furnished with a double-size sofa bed, an armchair, a fireplace, a coffee table, and a cabinet surmounted by a television, a VCR, a stereo and a DVD-player.
The bedroom area has a double-size bed with bedside tables and a bookcase holding a combination fax/phone. The phone /fax can receive incoming calls but is blocked for outgoing calls. There is also a built-in closet.
The open kitchen and the living room are separated by a bar with stools. It is equipped with four vitroceramic plates, a combination microwave/oven, a refrigerator, a coffee-maker, a kettle and a toaster. There is also a washing machine.
The separate bathroom has a shower topped with a showerhead, and a washbasin and toilet.
Heat and hot water are both electric.
For convenient travel around Paris, the nearest metro station is Saint Paul (line 1).
