Description - Paris Furnished Apartment (PA-3687) See this page in   Français   Deutsch   Español   Italiano
A studio apartment in the Bourse area
Neighborhood:

This furnished studio apartment is located on Rue Saint Joseph between Rue Montmartre and Rue du Sentier. The nearby Tuileries area is surrounded by the vast and harmonious expanse of the Concorde Square at one end, and by the Grand Louvre, the seat of the French monarchy, at the other. This accommodation is also close to Place Vendome, the best example of 18th century elegance in Paris and the place where composer Frederic Chopin died in 1848. The apartment's location serves as an intersection for Paris's most magnificent shopping streets, Rue de Rivoli, which is parallel to the Tuileries Gardens, and Rue St. Honore. The Louvre, which contains one of the important art collections in the world, is only a few steps from this accommodation. There are all sorts of convenience shops and services available in the neighborhood. It is also close to the Palais Garnier. Upon its inauguration in 1875, the opera house was officially named the Académie Nationale de Musique - Théâtre de l'Opéra. It retained this title until 1978 when it was re-named the Théâtre National de l'Opéra de Paris. After the opera company chose the Opera Bastille as their principal theatre upon its completion in 1989, the theatre was re-named the Palais Garnier, though its more official name, the Académie Nationale de Musique, is still sprawled above the columns of its front façade. In spite of the change of names and the Opera company's relocation to the Opéra Bastille, the Palais Garnier is still known by many people as the Paris Opéra.

Premises:

This 21m² (approx 225 sq ft) studio apartment is located on the fifth floor of a 19th century walk up building. The entrance gate which is protected by a coded security system opens into a corridor, which leads to the staircase.
The entrance door opens into the main room with an open kitchen. There is also a separate bathroom.

The 17m² (approx 180 sq ft) main room has two windows with western exposure overlooking a courtyard. It is furnished with a double size sofabed, a large closet, a console, a dining table and its chairs, a bookshelf, a stereo and a TV.

The open kitchen is separated from the living room by a bar and two stools. It is equipped with electric plates, a combo microwave/oven, a refrigerator, a kettle and many cooking items.

The separate bathroom has a shower topped by a showerhead, a washbasin and a toilette.

Heat and hot water are both gas.

For convenient travel around Paris the nearest metro stations are Bourse (line 3) and Grands Boulevards (lines 8,9).
