Neighborhood:
This furnished apartment is situated in the heart of Montmartre on Rue Lepic, a street with a lot of diverse food shops, as well as plenty of restaurants and cafes. Very close to this accommodation is the monumental Sacre-Coeur Basilica and a few steps away is the Place des Abesses, one of Paris' most picturesque squares. Renowned artists like Berlioz and Picasso lived and worked in this district and their unconventional lifestyle is kept alive by a number of Montmartre residents today. There is a panoramic view of Paris from the Sacred Heart Basilica promenade, and the charming Place du Tertre is a must-see.
Premises:
This 33m˛ (approx. 355 sq. ft.) one-bedroom apartment is located on the 1st floor (2nd in the USA) of a 1900's walk up building. The entrance gate opens into a small courtyard. Then there is a second door protected by a coded system leading to the staircase.
Upon entering the apartment, there are the open kitchen and the living room. The bathroom is on the right- hand side and the bedroom is accessible by the living room through sliding doors. Both rooms have parquet floor.
The 16 m˛ (approx. 170 sq. ft.) living room has two double glazed windows with a view on a courtyard. It is furnished with a single size sofa bed, two armchairs, a cabled TV, a DVD, a coffee table and a desk.
The open kitchen is equipped with a fridge with a small freezer, four vitroceramic plates, an electric oven, a dishwasher, a washing machine, a coffee maker, a kettle and a toaster. There also is a bar.
The 10m˛ (approx. 110 sq. ft.) bedroom has a double glazed window with a view on a courtyard. It is furnished with a double-size bed, a bedside table, a desk and a closet.
The tiled bathroom has two windows and is fitted with a bathtub with showerhead, a washbasin with a mirror and a toilet.
Heat and hot water are electric and are individual.
For convenient travel around Paris, the nearest metro station is « Abbesses » (line 12).
