Neighborhood: Located on Rue Charlot, between Rue du Poitou and Rue du Perche, this furnished apartment is situated in a charming area with old buildings and hotels particuliers. This accommodation is between the Oberkampf area and the Marais with its many trendy cafes, restaurants and shops. Very close by is the beautiful Place des Vosges, Paris' oldest public square and the place where Victor Hugo lived from 1832 to 1848. It is still possible to visit his apartment and the room where he wrote his novels. The neighborhood has lots of facilities and services and it overflows with art galleries and design shops, food shops and an organic market. In short walking distance are the Place de la Bastille, the Picasso Museum and the Place de la Republique. Premises: This 73m² (approx. 785 sq. ft.) spacious one-bedroom apartment is located on the second floor of a 17th century building with an elevator. The entrance gate, protected by digital coded system, opens into a corridor leading to a courtyard as well as the elevator and staircase. The apartment entrance opens into a corridor that links the laundry, the separate kitchen, the toilettes and the living room. The living room leads to the bedroom and its private bathroom. This 3.20m high ceiling with exposed beams is separated into two parts - the dining and living room areas. The first is the dining room area, which is furnished with a dining table and chairs, a Chinese-style closet, a wooden chest of drawers and a console. The 40m² (approx. 430 sq. ft.) living room has four large windows with curtains and a northeastern exposure overlooking the street. It is furnished with two sofas, a glass coffee table, a large bookshelf, some antique-style armchairs, and a wooden console. The 16m² (approx. 170 sq. ft.) bedroom has a window with northwestern exposure overlooking a courtyard. It is furnished with a large built-in closet, a double-size bed with two bedside tables, a desk and chair, two wooden chairs and a closet with a cable TV. High speed internet access is available. The bedroom has a private bathroom with a bathtub and two washbasins. The separate kitchen has a window overlooking a courtyard. It is equipped with four gas burners, a refrigerator and a freezer, an oven, a microwave, a dishwasher, a coffee maker, a kettle and a toaster. There are also a separate toilette and a laundry, which has a washing machine, a dryer and a large built-in closet. Heat and hot water are electric. For convenient travel around Paris, the nearest metro station is Fille du Calvaire (line 8).
