Neighborhood: This furnished one bedroom apartment is located on Rue Daval between Boulevard Richard Lenoir and Rue de la Roquette. The apartment is on a lively street featuring a number of trendy cafes and restaurants starting on the broad and historic Place de la Bastille where you can find the new Opera considered as one of the best in the world, inaugurated for the 200th anniversary of the French Revolution. In a short walking distance is the singular royal Place des Vosges, Paris' oldest and arguably most beautiful square having been the place of residence of many historic personalities. Built by Henri IV its perfect symmetry and verticality are fine examples of classical French architecture. There are many precious museums, art galleries, antique shops, choice restaurants, cafes and other convenience shops in the neighborhood. Premises: This 40m2 (approx 430 sq ft) one bedroom apartment is located on the fifth floor of an 18th century walk up building. The entrance gate protected by a coded security system opens into a courtyard with staircase (A). The entrance door opens into the living room and the open kitchen. The 24m2 (approx 258 sq ft) living room has two windows with southern exposure overlooking the street. It is furnished with a double size sofa bed, an armchair, a dining table with chairs, some shelves, a TV, a VCR , and a closet. The open kitchen features a little bar with chairs and is equipped with four gas plates topped by an exhaust fan, an oven, a microwave, a refrigerator and a coffee maker. There is also a washing machine. The 12m2 (approx 129 sq ft) bedroom has two windows with southern exposure overlooking the street. It is furnished with a double size bed, a desk and a chair, as well as a built in closet. The bathroom has a bathtub topped by a showerhead, a washbasin and a toilet. Heat and hot water are both electric. For convenient travel around Paris the nearest metro stations are Bastille (lines 1,5 and 8), Bréguet-Sabin (line 5) and Chemin Vert (line 8).
