Studio apartment in the heart of the famous Marais area

Located between Rue de Rivoli and Rue des Francs Bourgeois, this comfortable studio apartment is situated on a small street in the heart of the Marais. This historic area offers diverse shops, a number of select international and basic restaurants, and pleasant cafes. A few steps away is the charming Place des Vosges, known for its art galleries and for being the former residence of the famous French novelist Victor Hugo (Les Miserables), where he lived from 1832 to 1848. About 10 minutes walking distance away is the Place de la Bastille, symbol of the French Republic and one of the most important points of interest in Paris. All kinds of services are near this accommodation.
Premises:
This 20m² (approx. 215 sq. ft.) studio apartment is situated on the first floor of an 18th century walk-up building. The main entrance gate is protected by two security systems. The exposure is north and the apartment faces the street side.
The walls are white and there are exposed ceiling beams and wood floors almost throughout.
The 18m² (approx. 190 sq. ft.) main room has two double-glazed windows with Venetian-style shutters. It is tastefully decorated and furnished with a double-size sofa bed (140 wide), a dining table with two chairs, a cable TV, a DVD player, a stereo and a telephone. This room is also connected to a DSL high-speed Internet connection (a wireless connection is also available).
Facing the main room is an open kitchen equipped with the following elements: two electric burners, a microwave (with grill), a small refrigerator, a stainless steel sink, a toaster, a kettle and a coffee maker.
Next to the cooking top is a built-in closet that contains sheets, towels, an iron, an ironing board, a fan and a hairdryer.
The bathroom is tiled and is fitted with a shower, a washbasin and a toilet. Please note: The toilet is electric and due to the European plumbing system in the building, the water closet cannot handle any items other than human waste and toilet paper. All other objects no matter how small (i.e., Q-tips, paper, hair, etc.) will clog up the drainage system. This could result in damage to the WC.
The owner provides a cell phone and U.S. plug adapters.
Heat and hot water are electric.
The nearest metro stations are Hotel de Ville (lines 1 and 11) and Saint-Paul (line 1).
